I was on that sailing! The comedian was really funny and if you were sitting on the floor you were fair game… I’m surprised it took so long for the CD to make her leave! Ps Rev Dr E is awesome and this was a great cruise!
The comedian was doing his job. Everyone knows, if you don’t want to be a target, do not, I repeat, do not sit close up to that stage, especially if you are sensitive or in your feelings for whatever reason at that moment. Now about the racism, what comedian doesn’t speak comedically about their own race and sometimes, respectfully about others. Not sure why that would be a factor.
I was on a cruise ship where I found the comedian to be offensive. Do you know what I did? I quietly left the theater. There is no need to act like an idiot like the guest/passenger were doing.
yes, that is the way most civilized people act. But this group of harlam terrorist think that my yelling and cursing, that they will get their way. And what is really sad, they do.
That’s what reasonable people do, I agree 100%. I had the same experience you did in a cruise, other people were laughing their heads off, he wasn’t my cup tea. I told my friend I’m going you’re having a good time you stay and enjoy. There is always something else to do.
Yep! But sad to say many don’t have the mental fortitude to follow suit!! MANY & now it can all be caught in tape & replayed to eternity!! Haha 😎🤣😉🤷🏻♀️ Vic in Ga
We did so, too. The topic was getting more and more "south" the longer that guy was on stage. There comes a point where even the most liberal person has to leave...
My experience with cruising has been this.. The shorter the cheaper the cruise ..the more rowdy low class behavior you will see.. I said what I said ✌🏼
@katd6580 exactly 💯 These low-cost budget cruise invite low class people. I need to be on cruise where only the upper middle class people can afford ❤
Thats true specially on Carnival. YOu kind of have to be ready and have a plan if you go 5 or less days on Carnival and if you leave out of NOLA on a less than 5 day be SUPER ready! lol
The comedian was not in the wrong. She became part of his show when she began acting out or stepping near that stage. I am so sick of people being so sensitive about everything. If you were or are offended at the things people say, get your ACE up and leave!!!
"If you were or are offended at the things people say, get your ACE up and leave!!!" I actually agree with that and done it once myself. And I am sure nobody knew I left the theater since I left quietly and the people who did see me leave most likely thought I was going to the bathroom and didn't care that I was leaving.
Half the world is under a brainwashed spell by satan. If your eyes are open you can see him using people and playing them hard. It is so sad to watch. The lost priorities are so low right now. It's end game
Everyone knows that if you bring attention to yourself at a comedy show, you can become the brunt of the jokes. She should have just left, but I suspect alcohol was involved. I live 30 minutes from a popular cruise port and behavior like this is the reason I won't take a short, cheap cruise, it attracts the partiers and alcohol is fuel for the fire of bad behavior.
No true, a comedian tried coming for me for going to the bathroom. My comebacks were so quick and mean he ended his set. Wasn't my fault the audience thought I was funnier
We saw this exact comedian on the MSC Meraviglia 2 weeks ago and also randomly ran into him wondering around the ship the next day. We had a quick 30 second conversation and he was a super nice guy. Before the show, the cruise director made it crystal clear that it’s an adult show and to leave if you’re thinned skinned or easily offended. There is zero possibility these people weren’t warned beforehand.
She probably didn't hear the warning because she was probably late to the show. The way she is dressed says that she wants to be seen. That's also probably why she went to the front of the stage. Look at me, look at me. I can't stand people like this
The moment she walked on that stage was stepping over the line. I don't care what was said. She should have been let off at the next port with her things and told she was banned.
Exactly! Security failed to do their job. Security allowed the situation to escalate and endangered the comedian and other passengers. This is on them.
If you have thin skin you should not go to a comedy show. Don't sit in the splash zone (front row) if you don't want to be a target of a comedian. Don't insult a comedian if you don't want to become a target. By all means if the show is just not of your liking, get up and walk out because nine times out of ten you are in the minority.
Where was security? How did they let her back at him so many times?? I hope that she's criminally charged for throwing that glass at the comedian!! Insane!!!😮
She was waaaay to comfortable doing all that because she knew she was surrounded by people. He’s still a man and she’s lucky he’s a professional because she could have gotten beat down for that. Of course she’s not humble enough to be embarrassed by her behavior.
People are too sensitive these days. BTW, I'm a 65 year old Black woman. She started it by confronting the comedian, which you don't do unless you want to be roasted. Remember, comedians deal with hecklers all the time.
I back the comedian 100%. The unwritten rules are different for an adult show than a family friendly one. In a family friendly the odds are he would have ignored and let security handle things. However this was an adult show and if you are sitting near the front you might become part of their routine. If you heckle or show your rear like she did, you definitely become part of the show.
She gave the comedian ammo to fire back at her, that's what comedians do, don't give them ammo, they won't shoot at you. It was obvious because the club erupted in laughter, at her expense.
@jshiplife more information for context on the incident, this was not about the comedian and "racist" jokes at all. The woman was talking extremely loud during the comedians set and we asked her if she could keep it down during the set. She was then yelling back saying she didnt care and that the comedian was "boring" she could do whatever she want and then another older woman (woman on stairs yelling back at her) who was with her party told us "she aint gonna keep it down for yall so what yall gonna do about it?!" so therefore the arguing exploded as she continued to yell and we yelled back and thats when the comedian took notice and ask what the hell was going on, then i explained how i couldnt hear with her talking loud behind me, as a comedian he made a few racial jokes keep in mind its the "adult night" comedy show so the woman responded back saying "it wasn't the black folk this time it was the (insert derogatory hispanic term) this time" then as a family we all stood up and argued about her racial remark. Then as i sat back down, the gentleman in her party came up to my side and told me "since you think this is sweet, meet me outside right now nad lets go" so i stood up and got into his face and of course more of the arguing happened. MSC was quick the following day to pull me into security to ask me if i wanted to press charges and asked if me and my family were ok so kudos to them, only gripe i had was maybe having security come a little quicker or be on standby for events like this, it shouldnt take the cruise director to try and escort them out by himself for that long
Something is telling me the ones who are banned from Carnival are marching their way over to MSC because it's the cheapest cruise line..... I hope this is not true, we didn't want the rift-raft 😭
Exactly, they want to blame everything on Carnival cruisers. I went on Carnival twice this year and never saw a fight or argument. I paid big money and I'm sure others did as well. If you have home training you know how to act in any situation.
@@lisaadams1249 I've only seen 1 fight, and that was years ago. It was of course inside the nightclub, but the friends in both parties broke it up. I too was glad that it wasn't Carnival as well
This is shameful at all levels…. However, it could have been a national scandal if the comedian was white. Thank god he was black, even though some apparently still tried to use race as the issue with the his jokes 🤦🏻♂️
Why would you pay thousands to go on a cruise and then act a fool at an ADULT comedy show? Unless you hide in your room for the rest of the cruise, everyone will now know you were the one who acted a fool and got made the fool. It’s all on everyone’s phone.😂 Can’t…have…nuthin!
Thousands? Cruise? WoW! I can see you Never been on a cruise before. A 3 day cruise is between 200-400 dollars it is definitely not thousand. 7 day cruise 700 dollars😁
@@The7thLETTERSCI don’t know what cruise lines that you’ve been on but I can tell you that I’ve cruised with Celebrity and Royal Caribbean and yes, I’ve paid thousands for two people. A friend of mine cruised with Norwegian and paid almost $10,000 for The Haven suite for him and his wife. $700? That’s probably a room with no window and no amenities.
Best cruise ever is a Viking River Cruise. Great meals, better class of respectful people that actually dress up for dinner. Totally different experience.
Look I used to DJ/ run karaoke at bars for years and once a patron started talking or running their mouth everyone knew they were fair game. I have shutdown a lot of drunk/silly ass ppl by having the crowd laughing and on my side. So I think the comedian did his job and did it well.
I was on this cruise ship back in Mid-July this year, there was a incident where a drunk man called a woman watching the blackjack table a B, while her husband is standing there, the guy was drunk obviously, the lady just wanted a apology, things escalated and then he was told to calm down by several cruisers, next thing you know he wants to fight everyone, he tried to punch another cruiser, his punched got blocked and he fell and hit his head on a column at the casino, he cut his head, finally security came and took him away, never to be seen again on the ship the rest of the cruise, these events are common now everywhere, people don't know how to act in public!
These people need to be banned from all cruise lines. You are supposed to be an adult to book a cruise, which includes the expectation that you will act like one.
Clearly you can't let some people out the house. This world has gotten more and more childish. Learn to control your emotions and you can control the situation
We are currently on a 14 day to Greenland. This has been the calmest, most peaceful cruise I have ever been on. The 10 day to PR was very nice too.longer the cruise, less stupid crap
All I have to say is it was a short budget 3-day cruise, it involves The Usual Suspects, the only thing that surprised me was it was on MSC and not Carnival. The second she got physical she should have been forced to get off the boat on the very next poor and find her way home as she was now a proven danger to the rest of the Cruisers
@@seanras1965 Cool, but I'm sure if we'd get all the data, you would see more inchidents like this on short cruises of 4 days or less than you do on say week long ones.. Things happen on both I'm sure but seems like short cruises = short fuses...
He's a comedian and goofs on everyone, and everything and it's just in good fun. Don't tell me you have have no idea that this type of adult comedy is going to happen. Can't take it then don't come to the show. Simple as that. To all others - have a great time!
Never get into an argument with a comedian when you don’t have a microphone and you’re not a comedian yourself! Ironic that a black comedian makes a black joke and it’s the R word. Wow!
Jay, I think you are great! You report on these things so well. Well done. I wasn't going to watch this from the headline until I saw it was you reporting it. I am so glad I found your show.
I think folks lots of times try to "get their monies worth" when buying the drinks package.. Why I like NCL's "free at sea"..Sure, may be paying for it somewhere, but just doesnt seem to be as many stories from NCL.. I'm sure they exist. But when the drinks are "included" Even if the overall cost of a cruise is about the same all things considered, just seems like less issues than when you "pay" for the drinks package..
The foolishness is out of control… I hate to say it… But 2 of my sons just got banned from Carnival this past Saturday… Fighting on the Jubilee… With a CODE OF CONDUCT fee of $500 !!! We have to do better !!! 😕
Theres a video on TikTok that has the backstory to this lady. Apparently she had been acting a fool the whole cruise. She was disruptive during the comic show, so she became fair game.
After seeing numerous comedians go after hecklers, it's not over until they're all the way out the door. If they continue to mouth off and be offended, the more they're gonna get roasted. People should know better than to go off on a comedian. It's game on at that point.
The guest was in the wrong. It was a comedy show and the comedian handled it well. He kept the crowd entertained which kept them calm during the situation. She should be banned from cruising after throwing that glass. That was actually really scary and could've hurt someone.
The comedian was black! He was talking about black people! Am I missing something? Where’s the racism? According to some people only white people can b racist. Just ask any democrat 😂
I'm with the comedian: "You can't take some people nowhere." As a black woman, I'm not shocked by her behavior because too many people that look like her act this way every day as if it were normal behavior.
The comedian was very unprofessional. He didn't need to resort to cursing out the woman and calling her body derogatory names. It truly wasn't necessary. The passenger could've just left as well. No need to engage with ignorance.
She didn't handle things properly, HOWEVER she was right to speak up against someone who were making derogatory jokes about black people. You would understand that if you were "black" and not a dark skinned white guy. If she was a "Karen" would you have said the same things about her? 🤔
Before I saw the clip I took a few guesses. I went two for three. I was spot on with “ conundrum, what is the” but unfortunately guessed Carnival cruises, not MSC.
As a black person myself, I'm so sick of seeing other black ppl act this way everywhere they go. Every situation can't be solved with anger or violence. It's a shame but seems to be the only way some of y'all know how to handle anything. It shows a shallow mind and weakness over your emotions. Just speaking facts
Here we go again : never a dull moment on these cruise ships with some ppl making a fool of herself.. woman stop your nonsense walk away if you don’t like it…drama drama
