I like the squeaky but kind of crunchy noise that the knife sometimes makes on hooves. I also like the bandages being unrolled before you wrap it around the hoof. Not something heard often, but when an abscess under pressure is cut, sometimes the pressure release can be heard when the knife finally breaks through to the cavity. That's the best because you know it's instant relief for the cow by removing the build up pressure inside the hoof capsule. Thanks for making these videos. They are so relaxing after a chaotic day.

Gareth, you are so kind and gentle with the sweet girls. I was wondering if this new Momma cow is seeing, or needs to see a Vet. You noticed how thin and dirty she is. She didn't seem interested or able to care for her baby. Is nursing her baby? I hope that's going alright and he's getting enough milk from his Momma. Did he get enough colostrom? How do the owners handle situations like this? I'm curious. If the mom is too sick to care for her baby, what do they do? Stay blessed.

Sound! When the camera is pointed away from you I can barely hear what you say. I have to crank the volume on my phone as high as it will go.

I have been wanting to ask this question since I started watching hoof trimming several years ago. Would there be a benefit to cutting some lines in the bottom of all cow's hooves to give them some traction. We often see them slipping around and you have taught us that accidents cause many whiteline defects. What about creating some extra lines, not super deep or rough them up with a coursel disc? Just something I have been wanting to ask for a bit.
