I always question how the heck it takes me 9 years to find first time listens like this. Then I realize the "pop machine" that exists here in the USA, marginalizes and diminishes great music like this, in lieu of a new 17 year old girl dropping a cliché 4 chord pop single. Ahhh well better late than never.

Every time I listen to one of their songs (especially this and Santa Monica Dream) I feel a deep sense of nostalgia for a life I never even lived. Very weird.

I listened to their music a lot when my mom was dying. when I hear it now, it's such a weird feeling. It allows me to be sad and miss her with all my heart, but at the same time letting me know everything is going to be ok.

It’s so beautiful two siblings singing together, the connection. My heart is broken two years on after my brother died. We would never have sung together........but I wish we had......we loved the same music. Ah well.

⁠people often comment about how a song sounds live versus the radio/album version- most artists actually sound better live…. But the reason it doesn’t feel that way is because we usually first hear a song or band or artist on the radio or their studio/album version… we like the song and then if we go to hear it live it sounds different because it is the artist’s true rendition of the song as opposed to the studio versions which are produced with a more generic sound to appeal to the masses. The version the artists sing when they are live is the way they wrote it and heard it in their heads which is usually a much more interesting version…. Anyway- that’s my opinion! Lol - it’s the same with movies versus the book it came from- when people read a book all the imagery comes from that person’s imagination and creativity so when a movie is made from the book it will never live up to what we as readers created in our minds- just think of ten thousand people reading one book… the same book and then asking them to describe it- it would be wildly different for each person- when producers make a song they are trying to produce it in a way that ten thousand people will like not just one….
