Aniioke A8 Pro Max Dual Motor REVIEW, 09-17-24
Total miles so far is 192.
=============================
NOTES ON ANIIOKE A8 Pro Max Dual Motor
ALARM/REMOTE KEYFOB
Mine came with an Alarm/Remote turn on/off keyfob.
The remote is used to turn the bike on and off and activate the Alarm.
HEADLIGHT
The headlight is turned on by long pressing the UP button.
This dims the screen for night riding, but not good for daytime in dim conditions, like early morning in the shade.
To Brighten the Screen:
Turn on the headlight with a long press on the UP button.
Push the LEFT button to put the screen to sleep,
Count to 5 seconds (slow),
push the LEFT button to wake the screen back up, (or other button)
and mine stayed bright.
PEDALING
In stock mode I was only able to constructively pedal up to about 24 mph.
With the two changes below, I have pedaled up to 37 mph, though that's about as fast as I can go-- 34-35 is more realistic. Totally worth it.
CHAINRING
Changed the chainring from 52T to 58T for faster pedaling.
I used the:
Bike Chainring 130BCD Aluminum Alloy Ultralight Bicycle Chainring 58T BMX Chainwheel for Folding Bicycle
www.amazon.com...
It is a little thinner than the original so the barrel bolts were a bit too long; there were three ways to deal with that: buy shorter barrel bolts, make these a bit shorter, or put some shims between the chainring and crankset attachments. I first used shims then bought these, but they could have been 6mm long instead of 6.5mm:

FREEWHEEL GEARING for faster pedaling
I changed the 14-28T freewheel to a:
DRIFT MANIAC 7 Speed Freewheel for E-Bike 11-28T Screw On Freewheel. I looked all over, it was the best I found with the outer chain guard.

FREEWHEEL REMOVAL TOOL
You will need a freewheel removal tool that will fit over the axle, some won't.
The DRIFT MANIAC 7 Speed Freewheel Removal Tool has a large hole in the center, and is, apparently, made to fit this freewheel.

HANDLEBAR EXTENDER
I added a handlebar extender to fit more gadgets, which gave me some nice options for mounting things. This one worked fine and is very light, but there are many of them.

Make the Speedometer accurate.
In the setup menu, change the Wheel Diameter from 20" to 22", which made the bike speedometer match the GPS exactly. The tire diameter is actually around 22.75" .
PAS SETTINGS
Everyone's riding environment is different so this is a personal thing. I ride on slow forest trails, rough gravel roads, and smooth pavement; since the PAS settings are adjustable I can make a PAS setting to match most things.
I used 0-9 levels, basically four for slow, five for fast. I turn on the bike on 0 so it doesn't take off until I want it to. The throttle uses the PAS level settings, which makes it less jumpy on bumpy surfaces. In PAS 1, pedaling is 5mph, or I can use the throttle and go a bit slower without pedaling.
My current settings are:
1 - 10% = about 5 mph
2 - 20% = about 11 mph
3 - 30%
4 - 45%
5 - 58%
6 - 70%
7 - 80%
8 - 90%
9 - 100%
CHANGED THE INNER TUBES
I had one blow out with a bit too much air, which pushed the tire off the rim, just like what happened to a reviewer, so, before I put Flatout in them, I got some new ones. Tubes are hard to research, they might say heavy duty, but then don't seem to be; these seemed okay, They have two nuts on the stem. I did NOT put a nut inside the rim, so there are just two shaped washers, with 1 nut outside the rim. (not room for 2).

FLATOUT IN TUBES
I put Flatout in the tubes. At 10 ounces per tire, it may have slowed the bike down some, but not as much as a flat tire... :-)
MILES PER AmpHour
My Miles/AH is averaging around 2.0 mi/Ah over 218 miles, with a range of 1.4 to 2.9. I have been doing a fair bit of zooming, with both 2 motor and 1 motor, and less pedaling than I did with the Kepler. It is all up and down, with some pretty big hills.
