Anika Nilles' Top Two Warm-Up Routines - Drum Lesson (Drumeo) 

R-R-R-R-L-L-L-L-R/L-R/L-R/L-R/L-RLRLRLRR L-L-L-L-R-R-R-R-L/R-L/R-L/R-L/R-LRLRLRLL 4x sixteenth's with Right, 4x sixteenth's with Left, 4x sixteenths as Double-stops, 8x32nd with a diddle at the end to switch leading hand. One of my favorites! Not sure I've seen anyone else do that one, but it gets my hands warm for sure.

Nice, I've adopted this warm-up and really like the way it puts the left hand in the spotlight just as much as the right.

I do a rrrrrrrr llllllll rrrr llll rr ll rr ll = 1 bar, with the right foot following the right hand, left foot following the left hand for about 4 bars. Then single strokes with the hands while the feet do that pattern, 4 bars, then single strokes with the feet while the hands do the pattern 4 bars, and then single strokes together with the feet and hands. Then I increase the tempo, 5bpm until I feel tension, bring it back down etc. I also do doubles with the hands while the feet do the pattern. This is a great exercise for double bass playing and blast beats, but you can use the left foot with the hi hat instead. I use this primarily to work on french grip, double bass evenness, and speed. Enjoy!

Great exercise! I like starting with one full paradiddle rotation RLRRLRLL and then following with a triple paradiddle…RLRLRLRR… that way it alternates both of your hands also to start over with left hand lead or vice a versa

Great warm up Anika I've been using it every morning for the last 3 weeks, thanks a lot for sharing.

I'm gonna implement that great warm-up, my warm-up routine before that was to play bomb blasts and European blasts to practice playing at high dynamic levels and then play some second line drumming with traditional grip, and then play some funk at a middle dynamic level, and then maybe some swing, so trying out different styles at different dynamic levels.
