Wow that dholak reminds me of carol singing back in India,, our church used to hire one local Hindu dholak player during Christmas time. He was a very poor chap,, but after coming for 3-4 years he accepted Christ.

When I listened to this song very carefully, I realized that: The word "Kasam" in this song, stands for 'promise' and not swear as many people might think. You can read in Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and James- that it says it's better to not promise, than to promise and not keep it; keeping the promise is being true to one's word: To walk the talk and be be faithful to adhere to one's word. That's what promises are for: To guarantee that the person is reliable. Bible calls those who don't keep promise to be fools, who promise at first and then say that "I was not serious. I was just joking". We are called to imitate Jesus. He was man of his word. We ought to be like him; and keep our promises. Bible says, all His promises are 'Yes' and 'Amen'. It gives us hope that we can wait upon that Lord and be still in patience. He will fulfill His promises for us in due time. None of His word will go vain. He has promises for each one of us, and says 'Yes' for all of them over us. We just need to respond back with 'Amen' and trust Him to bring all His promises to reality in His good time. His time is always perfect.
