This scheme is like reverse mortgage. We keep our money ( say 5 lakes) with Bank and they pay back principle amount and interest in installments . After the term period your deposit amount is zero.

How come 7% per annum on 5 lakhs is 1,78,000 per annum. Defying maths. Or annuity payment means u will loose principal is zero at the end of 3 yrs

How did you calculate for Rs 500000? You will get Rs 14000 per month at a rate of 7% per annum. Great calculation ! Where are those Banks located ? I think you need to correct your calculation. You get only Rs 2916 per month.

This is Principal + interest payment scheme. After 3 years your Principal amount 5 Lakhs will be no more. You will get zero after 3 years.
