Elk Should Remain Class 8. They’re Not Shot With Calibers Like 7.62 Often Irl. Plus, There Was No Need To Change Them. They Were Fine As They Were In Class 8.

Not only that, if we have to kill all our bears for them to function properly, it’s basically a pop reset. The only real difference is that we have to do it manually and that sounds awful.

It's been like that for a while. The m1 was given lots of recoil so that it wouldn't make g1 grinding too easy, then everyone wanted less recoil so they added the 308 AR. Then everyone wanted an automatic weapon for the moose and bear grind so now they're adding the 300 semi auto. And the entire black bear time reset is because people complain about hunting them in the dark

A big pronghorn in game and IRL goes barely over 100lbs, and you could throw a paper airplane through one. You don't need 3000 ft lbs of energy for them... 😂😂

Not saying you need tons of energy, but most pronghorn hunters irl use either 25-06, 270, 308, or 30-06. They are big for pronghorn, but not so big you’d destroy them. They can be up to 140 pounds irl. The only one of those that could be class 3 in game would be the 25-06, which is arguably the best for pronghorn, but the others are definitely not overkill. I personally know multiple people who’ve shot pronghorn with 30-06 sub 100 yards and they still get plenty of meat off them and they were mounted.

270 in game don't have power for a 6-8 class. 270 need transfer to a 3-6 class. For feral goat, pronghorn, axis deer hunt.

@@Vladislav-mu1nz I think going to down to class 3 would be good for the 270, but it’s underpowered as it is right now. I have seen two elk drop very quickly with well placed shots from a 270 irl and it absolutely belongs as a class 8 weapon, if it was buffed to be more accurate to real life. Even though it does shoot lighter bullets than most 30 cals, speed is a very important factor to energy, not just weight, so it’s a very adequate elk or moose rifle irl. Just look at the 30-06 compared to 45-70 energy with modern guns, the 30-06 easily has more energy than most 45-70 loads and retains that energy better, which could be attributed to velocity. Also in my opinion the 30-06 should be 4-9, because it has very adequate energy for things such as bison and has taken dangerous game in the 20th century. Because of the long neck it can support heavier bullet weights that don’t intrude into the powder reservoir and it allows it to shoot 225 grain bullets at like 2700 if efficiently loaded with modern powders, whereas the 308 has a short neck and can’t handle heavier weights nearly as efficiently. I got a bit off topic there, but I use a 30-06 in real life and have hunted with people using 270s and they are both very adequate rifles for anything, and I’ve seen plenty of elk drop with either. They should be pretty close power wise except for the 270 is physically too narrow of a bullet to be considered for dangerous game

A lot of class changes make 0 sense, we can really tell they have no logic and know nothing about hunting

It should but they really can’t do that due to well balancing, red deer, alligators, etc would be way to easy to hunt and no one would ever really use other guns

​@@liamsstudio_44 for sure. There's no reason to not hunt whitetail with a .470 irl. Other than over penetration in herds, excessive cost, etc. A .22H is doable, although the margin for error is generally smaller than many feel comfortable with. The "balance" should be based simply on damage and wound time. A low damage lung hit should kill slowly, a brain/cns shot with any weapon should be an instant drop. I'd like to see leg hits actually disable that limb and realistically slow them down.

Blacktail are rough and simply, too small, (current Diamonds should be level 4s) and Roosies get better as they go up in size but I want to see what a preview of what a GO Roosie could be, really go out with the Nontyp Roosies Rockies are far too spindly and dont capitalize on what a true monster bull looks like, something Classic nailed

@@Jacob69.69. Pronghorn in real life are not that heavy or tough of animals, I've shot coyotes tougher then pronghorn. I've used a 223 on a large male pronghorn(he was 112 pounds which was really big in the area were I shot him) he was at 286 yards and he drop were he stood, a 243 win, 25-06 rem are I recommend people use, and I see anything more than 6.5 creedmore on a pronghorn will just waste more meat. so making the class three makes more sense then class four. But if you don't like that there not a class four that's fine, just means you'll need to care a class three gun with you on SRP.

Quail should be moved to class 9 too

Lion are considered dangerous game and irl often have the same legal minimums as Cape Buffalo

Lions should be class 7

The 30-06 just needs a rework. It shoots like an irl .243. It can barely get both lungs on an elk in game, but in real life smashes through an elk. It’s depressing using it ingame and seeing how poor it performs vs how it does in real life

No one is shooting a buffalo with a .308

Just upgrade the 270 it’s too weak in the game versus real life

weapons are just personal preference which you use per class, i tend to keep it simple and use the 7mm and 45-70 class 4-9 covers everything. and then u can go for a 2-4 rifle or use the .243 for 2-6 "i think" whatever u want. i think this up coming weapon pack is totally trash i think there could've been better weapons chosen, more unique weapons that aren't even in game.

Yeah, my deer rifle is also my pronghorn rifle, it’s gonna really off on a bow hunt on SRP where I also carry the 7mm and .22

They did it because it’s an easy change and the casuals will be happy, they will think it’s a big update

Honestly looks like they made a bigger mess. Moving hogs up doesn't make any since, as the class they were in made sense, .308/7.62 being a very common round for them. Don't really get moving elk either. I am okay with them moving gators up tho

Elk are EXTREMELY tanky, dare I say more or equal to moose.

Move the moose to class 9 then they are the biggest of the deer family

@@liamsstudio_44 my boss shot an elk with 308 they are not that tanky if you use the right bullet and have a well placed shot. Yes elk are big, but shot placement is the one big thing
