I remember seeing the screenshots of the Japanese-only N64 version of this way back when it was known as Animal Forest, only to be pleasantly surprised with the GCN version and I played it in real time for months - only now I had to time travel in it because my GCN clock doesn't work. I'll be interested to see what you think of the online multiplayer and stuff in the later games [I've done a fair bit of online for the Switch game], tho I do kinda miss the sassiness of the animals in this game, including Tom Nook himself.

I did notice the animals are very sassy. Having a time travel aspect is pretty useful. I’ve already started playing the Wii sequel and I see that it too has the ability to manually change the time. Sadly I won’t be able to review any of the portable games though (unless you count New Horizons on the Switch)
