This is a multicellular organism rotifer swallowed ALIVE by a single-celled organism Stentor coeruleus. We are watching it die slowly and just a reminder this rotifer has a simple brain. Welcome to the horror house you empathetic humans!

The big, greenish one is the single-celled organisms. It's one the giants you can find in ponds, just composed of a cell, nothing more. And the one that wiggles in the single-celled giant is the animal with thousands of cells. It has guts, glands, stomach a brain. It certainly can feel something, maybe not necessarily pain but it can feel.

So Stentor coeruleus swallowed it through the cell mouth and wrapped the poor rotifer with a membrane inside its cytoplasm and rotifer will be digested by the enzymes and nutrients from it will be a part of the Stentor. Poor thing survived almost half an hour. It punctured the Stentor cell a couple of times by extending but couldn't manage to escape and finally gave up and died. And here is the last 18 minutes of that struggle.

Horror is real! Imagine how would it feel to be swallowed by something bigger than you and you are conscious for half an hour.
