No woman love toxic men. Men desperately want to believe that. To the point that the entire culture grooms girls to not have boundaries. So that at the end of the day men can normalise violence saying "hey but she wanted and enabled it"
@212letliveonearth
@212letliveonearth 9 месяцев назад
But again don't these women who love so called toxic guys find themselves in toxic relationships, so does men who fall for toxic girls. It's the same saga, from both sides. Bad bitches, bad boys - end of the day it's just a teenage phase we all grow out of . Like many teenagers just get attracted to what is cool. Being toxic or unhinged is perceived as edgy, as teenagers girls n boys dig that shit. That's how romance is sold to growing minds. But you won't see people in stable relationship being toxic. Men n women both can be toxic and why sane people choose them can be due to variety of reason. People misjudge it by thinking it's nature but it's more of a nurture part. Even many stereotypical stories you will see innocent girls go for bad guys who are kind to them and it's glorified ( not necessarily to others but to them) hence the affinity towards bad boys n innocent girls started, but in real life bad people are bad to everyone. And sometimes innocent girls often are ignorant in real life. They can be flawed humans in contrast to what shown in cinema in a glorified way.
@212letliveonearth
@212letliveonearth 9 месяцев назад
Again many people find themselves in toxic relations even at an older age because growing out if what is sold to you is often difficult. A guy can fall for a innocent girl as it's his idea of love as he wants to play the knight that protects her without knowing may be the innocence is ignorance or an act. A girl can fall for a bad guy thinking she can change him but shitty people don't change that easily. All are parts of fantasy n when we grow up, grow smart we realise relationships are much more real than fictional, you need someone you can tolerate till the end to have a happy life. Not a bad boy X innocent girl or some bad bitch whatever you call it. Apart from it I don't agree Ranveer kapoor was dark character but he was complex, he was toxic yes, but it had a back story to it. He was toxic n bitter and it ruined lives around him and he also ruined his own life because of the neglect he went through. It's at the end of the day is a grey character, we hate, love ,sympathise n sometimes want to slap him all at once. But if I tell you in real. Life people like him aren't Ranbir kapoor, don't hold his charisma, have real life consequences of their action . It's a movie at the end of the day with over the top action n a grey protagonist and i loved it

The toxic scenes in the movie didn’t help the story to move forward in anyway except the fact that they were trying to explain the same point again and again that he is a toxic person. What was the need ? Even though the movie was 3hrs 21 mins, no time was spent in screenplay or the story telling didn’t spend enough time to explain why we should care about Anil Kapoor’s character? What is his connection to family in Punjab, until Ranbir’s character directly turns up at their door. Coming up with the most violent scenes is not a great thing if you just insert them at will, like the interval scene. Direction and story telling is difficult only if you try convince the audience and have them emotionally connected with the characters. No one seem to have cared about the characters and their emotions. If film making is just about dropping the never seen before visuals, we would have seen so many stupid stuff. If the director had any balls, he would’ve shown the toxic scenes in the trailer, he played safe in the trailer to showcase this as a father son movie and completely misled people who turned up at the movies to show random things which don’t push the story forward. This is just arrogant film making.

When directors have no good story or good writing, they overcompensate it with extreme violence and sex It's the oldest and cheapest trick in the filmmaking book My opinion is that there was a potential good film in the actual film.... But due to the director's obsession with fighting against his critics rather than telling a good story, he just let his emotions get the better of him... Bobby Deol's character was so overhyped that I was supremely disappointed.... I felt nothing for Ranbir's character.... I didn't feel his pain... nothing....he basically has no character development....he was always an "alpha" and has been one till the very end.... He has NO CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT...also the length of the film is WAY TOO LONG... However, everyone has the right to enjoy and criticize this film.... I wish this film would have been made better by a more capable and intelligent director like Anurag Kashyap - the director of the legendary Gangs of Wasseypur films !

Domestic violence towards women? He literally didn’t touch her until that choking scene where she literally says his father should have died. I’m sorry, hun choking her is toxic but what she said isn’t? Just before that she slapped him soooo many times, multiple times. Through the whole film. There was literally no domestic violence by Ranbir Kapoor in the film except that one scene at the end where she touches the trigger point of his character
@hellryderplayz1854
@hellryderplayz1854 9 месяцев назад
That's exactly what she said: the domestic abuse (against both men and women), verbal abuse, emotional abuse, etc. all of it was problematic. She highlighted the abuse against the woman because it is a more serious problem in the real world (thus, those scenes having more impact in the real world) compared to the other abuses (especially against men). No one here is saying that ONLY women are abused. MEN ARE ABUSED TOO. But feeling a "guilty pleasure" as a man about a movie that depicts controlling and abusive attitudes towards women is more problematic as a society than the move depicting abuses against men.

@@hellryderplayz1854Why is it problematic for a man to feel that controlling the people in your life is a guilty pleasure? By that logic, if you watch Succession and it's a guilty pleasure then you're problematic because billionaires and wealth hoarding is a real problem in real life. By this logic watching any crime movie or playing any crime game like GTA and having it be your guilty pleasure is bad because crime is a big real world problem. Just say the truth, which is that you think women should be exempt from tough situations and violence even if they navigate it wrongly. You don't think even innocent men should be, because you'll never say that having a war movie or a crime game be your guilty pleasure is bad.

The director does not want to send any message with this movie. He's just presenting a story which is fictitous . As your friend correctly said this a pathbreaking in bollywood ,these kind of stories and characters are not supposed to inspire anyone to do anything they are doing. If someone is gonna get influenced from a movie it means they're already pretty messed up. Also the director should be praised to Direct, write, edit and also be involved in every song's production. The placement of the songs throughout the movie is excellent and lacks in many bollywood movies where a song starts out of nowhere. And another point that you pointed out was having multiple languages touch in the movie was great too , me being a marathi loved the action sequence and the use of telugu , punjabi as it adds authenticity. This film does not glorify anything, it shows many problematic aspects ,domestic violence was not only between the wife and the husband but also between the father and the son about which no one will talk about, doesn't mean the film is glorifying it . Its a movie and should not be taken as seriously. Personally I loved the film and it was the best bollywood film of the year for me by far because of great screenplay, performances, BGM, songs and action along with gore scenes which I loved.

Half of Quentin movies are real life based. And he doesn't use anything unnecessary... If there's a sex scene, it serves the movie, the violence scenes (of course) aren't unnecessary. The story is good enough to not feel like the movie is just violent etc.. It has a context

Kids don't really know what is right and what is wrong(they'd think they have good moral compass, irl they don't know shit) until they hit their late 20s. Tenns live a pretend life, and they might end up doing something really fucked, and regret for the rest their life... I would rather want directors of these magnitude to make movies that'd bring positive impact in the society... Something that kids can look up to and go mmm I wanna achieve something like that.

Whatever he did in the movie, he did it to protect the family. Plus, he loved his wife more than any person could do. Yes, he did cheat, but he did it to protect the family, and that is his character. Stop controlling his character with social norms. He is doing everything only to protect the family. That's it.

Man, it kinda feel artificial listening to guys say the feminist stuff. It is perfectly alright to behave well with strangers, i.e keep your emotions under check .. but even with your loved ones? you want to put an act. I mean Gitanjili can slap RanVijay many times, feed him toxic salty food.. well nothing wrong in those but one chokehold and he is reduced to a domestic abuser and why not both ? The director in one of his interview said that he adds twice as much abuses from woman and still "idiots" go around bitching about male toxicity. In marriage it is not love if you pretend that demons dont exist instead of not able to trust the demons in each other(read "trust" a zillion times till you understand) .. otherwise it is just a fucking legal sex contract.

Yes I am obsessed with my dad and I love him if it takes to reach this level i will go, people talking about bad influence, I think most girls fear that after marriage they won't be able to control a guy like this and yes there are some rare % of men out there who love their parents anything above anyone's imagination, they don't care about what his wife will say kids will he'll just do the right to love his father. Idf about the feminist and those men and boys who are just "yes" and "no" for their wives , who put their lady above their parents, right now men are literally submissive and weak after marriage, i don't want to be like that and I am not , it wasn't rage it was level upto which a guy can go for his dad, current scenario is like this firstly married couples never live with parents as joint family and in 90% cases this decisions are initiated by wives. Secondly if somehow your parents will come to live with you and they do something that was of their mere choice, I bet most wives start screaming " tell them to go away as soon as possible" back in times as per Indian culture wives used to believe her husband's mother as their own mother , mother used to take care as her daughter and she as her mother, but nowadays they call " aunty" wtf😅😂 now triggered people tell me how many of you guys seen wives massaging their old mother in law ? None !!! If your parents will abruptly fall ill I bet at 98% cases she will tell " please hire a caretaker , I can't leave my job to take care of ur mother/ father)😂 The generation who leaves their parents at orphanage homes and far from themselves for years and meet them once in a year like siblings reunion has no rights to and no knowledge to justify this movie's CHARACTER'S obsession and love with parents. AND LASTLY IT'S NOT VIOLENCE IT SIGNIFIES THAT POETIC LINE " if anything happens to my parents I will burn the world "
