Varnika Singh is an advocate in India with 14 years of experience in the law field behind her and who has been working for the Federation of Indian Animal Protection Organizations for the past five years. An American citizen Julie Palais on the other hand has chosen animal welfare as her second career after giving over 26 years as a scientist to the National Science Foundation, USA. She has completed Masters Degree in anthrozoology and contributes to the animal welfare action plans while in Nepal by being a Founding Director at SAVE Nepal.
