Bro, I personally don't agree with not including your ideology in your review....We are our ideologies. What is the director trying to convey through this movie? that's a valid thing to criticize in a movie. There is a difference between criticizing the movie and boycotting a movie. I didn't like the movie because I don't think anyone acts that illogical even if they have daddy issues. it's comically made just to trigger people's sensibilities. I just see it as a bad movie with no real character journey or depth. But, I don't mind it getting released or making loads of money. It's good for Ranbir as he is the only redeeming factor in the movie.

Copied every one of lokesh's action scenes, hallway scene from Oldboy, stupid dialogues and weak emotional writing, unnecessarily inserting the derictor's own weird fetishes. But wrapped in misogyny themes so that a big part of the audience which is young single men will worship it. Music saves it. Loved bobby deol and the making is good. You can do a high energy film without misoginy too look at mark antony and lokesh's movies from which he copied.

Oh please, first of all Lokesh didn't invent these scenes and secondly Animal has most of its inspiration come from God father (Hollywood movie), and if you compare Animal and LCU, Animal is far better in term of making, cinematic visual, setting a sequence, usages of music, edit patterns. Lokesh already got exposed for his lack of creativity in Leo with this you are saying Animal is a copy of LCU 🤦‍♂️

For him atlee is far better as he would atleast say "ஏழு ராகம் தான் ஏழு தாளம் தான்"

@@lamelizard-wq7yo bro I think you are angry on them. I'm just saying my opinion, I couldn't enjoy animal movie action scenes because I feel like I already watched it. Because I did watch Loki na movies so much, I guess the average audience has too. You have to accept that the director got lazy at some point and copy pasted lcu and Oldboy fight scenes. I'm not saying all fight scenes are bad in it. You can enjoy a movie while recognising its flaws.

@@shrivatsa7759 I can tell where the Fight scenes of Animal are inspired from ranging from old boy to old Chinese movie, but surely they aren't inspired from any of Lokesh movie. Please see animal as a craft and compare its quality to Lokesh movies. Lokesh has to develop a lot in that aspect. Animals have better production value and even better staging for fight sequences than any Lokesh movie. I differ in Animal portrayal of Love, papa worship, loyalty but one thing about Animal is most of its fight sequences are unique and staged well ( I mean most because the cgi m3 scene didn't work for me). And about Lokesh, first go and see western web series like PB, BR then you can also frame a dictionary on Lokesh copycat scenes.

So many issues with your comment. Irrespective of language, people are people. Anyone with the mentality to slap a woman or make derogatory marks will give the excuse as if the movie influenced them to do such an act. But one should be well-sound to know what's correct and wrong. The clarity you seek from the audience is not in the movies; it's lying elsewhere. P.s - I'm not even an Alpha as Ranbir claims in the movie. I'm the Beta type. Submissive guy. And I have no issues with that. It's his perception, and I have no issues with it.

Individual kolgai vida mukkiyam how it influence the society. While just a popular Instagram people are called influencers. U could generally understand how much these kind of large scale influences can affect the society. These won't have overnight impact but younger generation will start accepting these as right as they are being glorified. I believe the world is for every kind. Good n bad things will always be there and fighting against depending on everyone's perspective. All it matters is where u stand to achieve the balance in the society.😊

True. Whatever human mind is constantly exposed to , the mind will start accepting things as true. Thats why people are meant to surround themselves with postive things and people, because that influences their life. May be we are adults and mature so we know this is only a movie. But imagine the next generation watching this while growing up. Imaging the remote un-educated person watching this movie. Does the society really need this kind of things to be consumed by their mind? In that way I hate Puthupettai also. I did not really know why that movie was glorified. For me society and movies take hints from each other equally. They both influence each other equally. So I believe the directors have to be socially responsible.

Animal movie is not just about the character played the Ranbir Kapoor, it is abour the Animal inside everyone and how it behaves or how it has been taught, groomed or tamed to behave. The length wasn't an issue for me and also my theatre was packed full and no boo moments at any point in the movie. The movie felt like a character study and character arc of the Ranbir Kapoor and i found nothing disturbing and triggering from the movie to be thrashed or criticized upon. The movie has been certified A and its has been given very correctly owing to raw and sincere vision which Sandeep Reddy Vanga wanted to show. Seems like Vanaga brought out everything he wanted to show in the movie. Rashmika stole the show with her powerful restrained performance especially in a confrontation scene with Ranbir Kapoor where she owned it completely. Her character is not against Vijay for his character or behaviour, in fact it is his undeniable love and affection for his father that makes Vijay go beyond limits and it is where she gets angered and depicts the same to him.

I totally agree with your views in this review. Everyone is actually grey. People look for excuses after they are caught making a mistake. And the easiest excuse becomes cinema. The very fact that lakhs of people enjoy this kind of a movie (and almost revere it) IS a concerning trend. Not everyone is mature enough to treat a movie as a movie with just cinematic sensibilities. Sorry but I need hard proof that this movie validated someone to act like an idiot in society. Though I guarantee you that even if you find it... the number of such instances will be really low making them a rarity which is exactly the point of this review. I mean just because someone watched a panda in the zoo have a fun life doesn't make the visitors become a panda. I genuinely believe a movie can't change anyone's life unless they give up the onus over their life to that exact movie. Bizarre as it is I don't feel any movie has that power over anyone let alone an A- rated film which is about an animalistic protoganist. It may validate their life of such behaviours but not convert them into a male chauvinist overnight.

I think topic of social responsibility in cinema is nuanced. I don't know why everybody's first response is censorship or boycott. A director have all the right to make the movie he wants. And as a audiance we've the right to choose wheather to watch it or not. Then we also have the right to criticize it in pubic forums. You can criticize the ideology/themes of the movies as well. Some elements of society will be affected by this is a copout argument. Freedom of speech is a package not a buffet. You can't pick and choose what speech is allowed. Censorship is also like that. Once you allow it it's gonna curtail film makers like Mari Selvaraj who speaks hard truths than Sandeep Wanga Reddy who spouts non sense. So always think about ramifications of arguments.

Been a follower and fan of your review there's this one constant thing which i notice is you only see movie as movie! You don't talk about what it stands for. It is really important to discuss what the movie stands for too. Now I'm not saying movies which stands for good things are good movies by default. But still it is to be discussed! Like if someone make a movie about glorifying Rape with good making, engaging scenes and amazing acting you'd call it a good movie or bad movie?? Having watched many of your reviews i think you'd call it a good movie.

I think an American reviewer's stance about this movie was actually nuanced and apt (unlike this review which just misrepresents what most people hate about this movie). Oru movie character ku bad traits irukkuradhu okay. Acceptable. Endha maadri character vechi venaa kadha sollalaam, thappilla. Aana andha bad traits andha character oda amsamaa illaama, andha movie oda director oda prathipalippaa irundhaa, adhu thappu. Appo kooda andha maadri padam edukka koodaathunu illa. Endha alavu oru director ku epdi venaa padam edukkura rights irukko, adhe maadri andha director edukkura kuppaiya, "kuppai" nu call out panradhukku audience kum rights irukku. Simple.

Sorry, disagree. Society wont change over night. But I saw scenes from this movie in RU-vid shorts. Students who watch that, will try to mock those kind of actions with their friends. Especially bobby opens pant zip and do one reaction. Already many does the action performed by vijay devarkonda in Arjun Reddy movie. Do you think it is acceptable and no fault in the movie?

It is A rated movie. why should students go and watch. ?? and it's the responsibility of the society (parents teachers and ppl around) to ensure that they dont consume the content.,... you can't blame the director/actors for the negligence of the society.
