@@Yukixjapan You have to run it all (in little bits and pieces, themselves well-selected and -crafted) in slow-motion in the practice room over and over and over and over and over again until that shit SHINE!
3 monuments there, Javier, Matt and Tosin and each one is equally gifted to me, they have a pure transcendental synergy together, like a perfectly balanced chemical reaction
@@Yukixjapan lots of practice. :) and ... lots of touring. it gets tiring playing as much as they have on this tour. they never phone it in - but you've got to stay relaxed to execute the level at which they operate.
Matt's application of rudiments around the kit is always so geometrically pristine. I wonder what it would be like if he tried to play as chaotically and unpredictably as possible, while staying within the bounds of the material's structure and feel, and his own energy's patterning.
Imagining remember one hour twenty minutes of music at this complexity and having rhe stamina to perform is so effortlessly. I dont remember what day of the week is.
@@esnotionoctarine8914great how they've made such strange time signatures and musical ideas palatable in a way that people feel the music rather than counting in their heads. What makes aal stand out
@@FlipperWolf i know too that crowd clapping is usually a nuisance for the band as well, as they can’t keep time. In this case the crowd was legit helping out😎
AAL was always unbelievable ... but Matt just added so much. I can't stop looking at him play. And see .... he's alongside Tosin and Javier. I will let you think about it. :D
@@postmoderncondition3353 I’ve seen that in their recent shows. The crowd acts like they bought seats and it just makes me want to watch their older performances.

24:08 Nothing beats this section of thumping, it's pretty much the first time they do it in this set list so it's such a heavy mood change during the concert... and they catch you with the 808 at 24:23 just to finish you off. The video on my channel doesn't put it into words... it's like getting kick in the guts! You can hear the audience reaction too lol
Who thought it was a good idea to set the bar that high? I cant imagine what playing 1 of these songs live is like, let alone an entire set. You only get 1 take, and you guys killed it!
@Guy Buddy Something that works your biceps and triceps. Which would be something that flexes the elbow and extends the elbow. Which would be things like curls and pushdowns or chin ups and skullcrushers/extensions etc.
@Guy Buddy With pushups you do extend the elbow, so it does work your triceps to some degree, but I say it's not great at working arms because it isn't a pure elbow extension, it also uses chest and shoulder. Not to mention it neglects the other function of the arm which is elbow flexion.
Meanwhile while leaders are at The G7 devising ways to force multiply suffering and chaos on the world populace, Im in Tokyo waiting for more cool bands to come through. Arch Enemy/w sp guest Guthrie Govan. That would be interesting
hahaha those 7s are a mindfuckkk, the way he splits the 7/4 bar into two 14/16, each of them into 4 groups of 3 and one of 2 16ths.... yea... not easy to count/feel haha
I know its quiet but it doesnt mean we were not enjyoing. Speaking in a non-native language can make some people more shy. Some artists doesnt like it and some made extra efforts to communicate with crowds. I found it shows a lot of their personalities. And I also add It's like I cant capture beautiful moon with my phone as i can see with my eyes. This video didin't capture the excitements and energies and more. You can blame my iphone for it haha. And thats the point actually going to show makes the experience more special right?
