Seeing Tosin Abasi live and having him sign my guitar is probably one of the greatest things to happen to me, he played Micro-aggressions for the very first song. Good work keep it up man!
Thank you and actually the easy accessability and low finger cost of selective picking is the reason why I can play Tosin's song🥲 shred is too hard for me
Respect! Great job. I have just started practising selective picking as I can envision a lot of creative possibilities. How long did it take you to get it down?
I switched to single coil mid by bounce potentiometer design(sorry for my inaccurate description), so it was activated as single-single and it's usually the perfect tone setup for Djenty sound, but I do know the song has nothing to do with Djenty texture and I just found it matched with my tone and sentient-nazgul on this guitar so I used it without thinking too much. Personally I don't recommend my setup since you can get more accurate tone by simply using fishman pickups for the song and not necessary with mid single coil since you can tweak your amp gain to get your ballance.
@@4silenceguitar27 I get it : ) It's a matter of taste, perosnally I like using single coil for that characteristics. Thanks for the answer. Btw Great playing!
Of course but my preset is made by using an already shared online free capture of Archetype Abasi and I think these Duncan Sentient Nazgul pickups are the real deal in making the tone
I believe you can use the same capture found on cortex cloud to make your best Abasi tone, you can easily find all user shared captures searching on cortex cloud🙂
NK is no doubt the best of cost performance guitar I've ever had and I can say it proudly that it beats the shxt out of ibanez Indonesian products no matter in cost or overall performance
Nothing against your playing, I don't understand why Tosin or anyone would make this sort of song and be proud of it. just step back and evaluate it, especially seeing you play it further shows the song. It's ugly. I just really found their new album to be a huge disappointment.
I don't know your own music theory but I think what Tosin Abasi did is a logical and exquisite step for hybriding neo-classical and progressive music and they balanced playing skills and composition in an extremely high level that most people cannot and will not reach. Tosin Abasi is by far the most influential progressive Djent musicman I've ever known. Maybe you are better than him and his AAL but no real idea can be made by only saying the word "ugly". You got your own right to express so I want some more specific opinions.
