Well, you know, you'll just be sitting there, minding your own business, and they'll come, marching in and crawl up your leg and start biting the inside of your ass, and you'll be all like: "EHY! GET OUT OF MY ASS YOU STUPID RAINBOWS!" Eric Cartman
Big time weightless vibes on the back half of this one. The band is really feeling more like 1 unit compared to a shredding guitarist and crazy drummer. Everything works together on these 2 tracks.
@crowning No. I’m saying these last two songs are even more on that path. Tosin is on record himself saying that’s the sound they are looking for. Just listen to Matt’s drumming in that third section. All of his accents match what Tosin is playing exactly.
That oscillating riff feels so nostalgic for some reason. Perhaps the frequencies of this track is bringing my mind into vibrational synergy giving me a glimpse into a life in another universe where this track is also playing to another version of myself. Perhaps this feeling is all of their feelings flowing into me. I am so high.
You can really see the contrast between this video and Monomyth's. They look opposite but complementary; Clothing and background colors, dancers, they even begin with a person holding water in this one and sand on the other video. Really beautiful video and amazing song!
@@HardcorPardcor1 Lol not all dancing needs to stick to metric pulse. If they completely went with the drums, the dance might not look as fluid. I LOVE it.
When the first riff is in 19/8 (or 6/8, 13/8) and feels extremely fluid you know it's about to blow some god damn minds! And drums are mixed HARD to the drummer perspective, we literally CAN'T ask for anything more, Thank you AAL once again!
@@cmadrid That's the best way to do it, On Streams he'd talk about breaking everything down to the lowest denominator so it gives you more room to do whatever on. Love this stuff haha
@@noahrahman535 it's not like it's an easy thing to do. I guess I'm just spoiled by the few bands that actually answer "ok great playing but what do you mean"
@@dedompler Yeah and I think that's attributed to AAL being such a cohesive band. Matt Javier and Tosin all mesh well and play off of each others' motifs. Really spectacular stuff.
This is a really cool direction they are taking. Whenever I listen to AAL it's always an enlightening and spiritual experience for me. There's something so deep and profound about their music
@@crowbear516 That's cool my man. I'm glad you are making your own thoughts on the song :) Check out their last album The Madness of Many, some solid stuff on that one. The Brain Dance is fantastic but Ectogenesis always gets caught in my head so I know that one well haha
The choreography in this video is incredible. I found myself becoming very emotional at 00:48 The chaos of the previous movements in the choreography coming together at that one point to pure calmness invoked a feeling of human connection for me. We all live out our hectic lives day after day, but we find these moments of human connection from time to time that seem to fit together perfectly, all our lives coming to a halt to be together in that moment as one. Maybe I'm looking too deep into it, but I can't deny the feeling it invokes in me. That coupled with the music itself is why I love this song, and this band. Instrumental music just hits me so differently than any other. It gives me a chance to find my own interpretation of the sound, and, in this case, the choreography, which is bolstered by music in a pure form.
I like the contrast between the quantity of hairs between this MV and the previous one. It is like conveying a message that no matter one is hairless or entitled with hair, they can have cool dance moves. Very cool stuff man.
The first video, the whole choreography was so new and weird to me, I needed a while to take it all in. But now, I'm watching this video so touched and emotional by the music, choreography & everything. It's so astounding.
I love that there are so many similarities between this video and the Monomyth video. The Monomyth bone statue, and the group pose at 1:25 The group arm motion two shots after is similar to that Monomyth shot with the men in a circle swaying from the Monomyth video. The 5 dancers at 1:43 is like the Monomyth dancers in that pyramid formation. Loads of other little things tie them I feel. So uniquely cool. It's its own video, but there is a definite thematic cohesion going on with the typefaces, the style, the imagery, and even the two songs, and I'm sure we're getting more in this vein. The videos really do reflect the music extremely well, and the cohesion is in the sound. And those fucking drums slap. Such beautiful tones from the guitars, and so tasteful in complexity. This is brilliant stuff.
I have two fears... 1) I could never get high enough to truly experience what this is or 2) Being high and watching this will put me in a coma and all I will dream about would be AAL music and Tosin just standing there staring at me... Judging me... And the reason why would feel just out of reach for the rest of my life.
This reminds me of all the great guitar virtuosos from the 80's and 90's. Bringing other cultures of music into the progressive metal genre. Such a nice track.
This title and the music video makes me think that no matter how like minded and how similar our interests may be, we are all different, hold different values, look different, every sense we experience differently and that's wonderful. But no matter how different we may; love, see things, hear, think, and appreciate things differently we are all the same. United under one song, one planet, one genetic make up. Experiencing things differently but sharing every emotion in our vast spectrum. All of humanity, doing things that make us higher and below that definition of humanity. We all share air, the planet earth, and consciousness in common. And we all die airless, and return to this planet, sons and daughters of the stars. It's amazing, it's terrible, it's the problem of other minds. It's humanity.
The interconnectivity is not visible but it does not mean it does not exist. We are all feeling it my friend , now more than ever. Brilliant words by the way .
It's funny, I actually didn't like this song the first time, did not care for the bouncy synth line it stars with. Now, it's my absolute favorite and I can't stop listening to it and yet I have to stop or I'll ruin it... Just drop the album already. I'll pay whatever price.
Nice symphonic prog metal. This guy came to deliver a legal document to one of my neighbors and the subject of music came up - he's involved with a heavy rock called Samora - and he told me about Animals as Leaders, so here I am! I'm not a metal fan, but this has some inventive keyboards and a little more creativity going on that the average prog metal band. Not Bad. Thanks for uploading!
Really cool song! I like the vibe and movement of it! I'm normally not really into that kind of dancing but it fits perfectly well with the music cause I almost got numbed but the mix of both haha
I'm sure there is a purpose behind this video. Like a deep, artistic and significant message that I'm supposed to be inspired by and maybe even take away from their movements. A sense of healing perhaps... But since I'm laughing so damn hard because it all looks absolutely ridiculous, I just can't figure out what they are trying to interpret. 🤷♂️ The song is amazing as always.
I swear to god I am a fan of the director is of these latest music videos. SIMPLY SUPERB!!! THE SONG IS AMAZING TOO!! MY FAVORITE BAND!! MY REASON FOR STILL WANTING TO LISTEN TO MUSIC!!
Fantastic. So I'm guessing the album will sound thematically similar which I love. I heard a bit of Monomyth in this track which is great. I love albums that have a sound and theme they want to convey. Also another great video. So I'm expecting another new track to follow with another vid with interpretative dancers. Really works with what you're doing.
I really love this video. Probably the most creative thing I've watched in a while. From editing to direction to choreography... Just wow. Bold in many ways.
In my opinion... a slower kinda super heavy breakdown along with some slow motion dances to sync in towards the end would have made this absolutely perfect. Love it either way good job guys!!
What really made the song for me was the contrast between this song’s soaring, positive tone vs. Monomyth’s dark, eerie vibes. Both music videos reflect the tones of their respective songs beautifully and it makes a great dichotomy.
Omg I love this so much! This is legit how I dance to AAL when I'm at home and no one is watching so it feels so cool to see that others have similar interpretations!! I'm so hyped for the new album!!
@@zlayer4514 It’s very forced…and it’s probably because they let Tosin’s girlfriend do the video…🤦♂️ She has the whole annoying, pretentious, vegan, gluten-free, hipster photographer , white girl vibe.
