Hey Musddstah I like watching your content I just avoid watching your Mistform games because you never get off the ground or your play group bullies you out of the game first Also can you get a guest to do some of the voice over? Would be a change of pace without doing to much
Just something small i noticed that wouldn't of had much impact on the game, but archangel wouldn't gain the life on the double block of the firemane because Iroas's second ability. Prevent all damage that would be dealt to attacking creatures you control. Like a said small not really changing much just one less pump.
Couldn't you have turned the vesuvian Shapeshifter back down on your upkeep (to keep copying the thousand winds)? Edit: Oh, he said it at the end of the video.
@@omargreen2715 maybe. You also gotta remember he was returning his lands to his hand. Plus he could've drawn utter shit. Don't be that guy who says, "I would've won if"
Me: Why isn't Cheryl attacking with more creatures she's got a window to deal so much damage! Muddstah: Aaand she wins via commander damage Me: ...oh yeah
@ MTG Muddstah : I am not sure, if you just didn't mention it, or the playgroup didn't notice. As far as i am concerned, the wording of Vilis says: Whenever you lose life,.... Did he draw cards due to combat damage, because of the Vilis-trigger, or did he forget it? I just got confused, since you mentioned the carddraw, when he paid life with Vilis' active ability. I don't want to lecture anyone, but i think the Vona-pplayer might have drawn many cards on that combat damage, while Vilis was on the board. btw. Thank you for loading up this videos and inspiring your viewers!
Nice game! And a superb way of showing that Commander damage is very relevant in our beloved format! Also, not seeing a single removal spell for that Archangel of Thune was really something.... I wonder, tho, why we never saw Vona out... Vindicating a card every turn with basically no downsides (considering the boardstate Jeremy had) would have been bananas.... Anyways, nice to see a Boros deck chip away the win!
Interesting piece of deck tech for Kadena (morph Naga); Guardian Project. Also noted on EDHREC. Morph creatures (/face down creatures) don't have names and Morph creatures are not token creatures, so it triggers whenever you cast a Morphed creature - netting you 2 cards with Kadena.
So can you flip up shapeshifter to copy other flip up abilities? The copying is it’s flip up trigger, so it is already flipped up, meaning you can’t copy thousand winds effect correct?
GOT THAT COMMANDER DAMAGE IN! I love this game, it was impressive that you avoid death twice Andrew. And I loved that jeremy got above 100 life, i just hit that goal with my Krav and Regna deck this past weekend.
Hey Muddstah! Just writing again to ask if you're able to change the yellow/green colours for the names of Jeremy and Andrew? As a colourblind person, it is hard to know who is who, especially with commander damage. I would really appreciate it.
Adam is working on one something to fix it up! The next few games will regrettably still have it, but I'm hoping to have something in November to help.
Yes, absolutely. I feel like he was too concerned with getting that Storm Cauldron off the board, he rushed himself, misplayed and it cost him the game.
If I were to speculate on one card from ixalan for commander it would be sunbird’s invocation. Every time I have played with or against it, it has been a remove or die card, the card advantage you get from this card is unbelievable, and it’s not just card advantage, it’s spell advantage which is arguably more powerful. Seriously, I will be surprised if it doesn’t spike because of commander
I have no idea what Connor was trying to do :D funny to see goblins and omnath. I was really confused with Goblin lackey on the field and fauna shaman not tutoring for a goblin. I hope to see more from that deck so I can see what it wants to do
While I know this is your first time playing morphs, you dun goofed sooooo many times. The biggest goof of all, though, was not flopping the shapeshifter face down again, you could have had infinite thousand winds
I'm super sad I missed you at GP Montreal. :( I'll just watch this to cheer up. I didn't check your Twitter and figured you'd be in the command zone, learned much to late you were by the artists.
That Cleansing Nova play is why my Vish Kal deck runs silver bullet answers to problems, like Batwing Brum and Mana Tithe. Oh your boardwipe/lethal attack with your token army you've been waiting for to stop me? Yeaahhhhh... No.
I'd like to point out how "Boros Wins" this is. One big card a turn (I call it the Timmy Windmill), Menace matters, and Commander Damage! Also, what other format do you see Thousand Winds, Revenge/Revival, Sunbird's Invocation, and Storm Cauldron be the game-changer plays from everybody? Thanks for the video!
Have you ever been told that you have hte same voice as Dan Carlin? The host of the greatest podcast in history, about history? Called Hardcore History? It's soothing, but dynamic. ASMR
Jeremy could have got there is he ever remembered that his commander exists. He should have played Vona before Villis to deal the sunbirds invocation and draw 7 from the life loss.
Connor needs to streamline his Omnath deck, he shouldn't be missing land drops so early. Furthermore why have Angry Omnath as commander but then go goblin tribal? If he would like to talk to someone that has been running Angry Omnath for a little over a year now and can get Omnath out turn 3, turn 2 if my starting hand is utterly perfect lemme know, I've tried a few different strategies with him.
Jeremy could have won if he just aimed the sanguine bond trigger at cheryl and attacked jeremy twice. he was at 9 and was playing goblins while he was sitting at 174. at that point he could basically only die to commander damage as connor didnt have the board to one shot him even with a craterhoof.
Oof, Vona has one bad matchup right off the bat. Nvm, this game couldn't have gone any more one-sided than it already has, and from the supposed underdog no less.
