Just found this series recently. And using an CLIP STUDIO PAINT for A while and decided to try animation. This series has been invaluable. I’m sure I’ll be coming back to it many times.
i've been using csp for like 10 years, including some basic animation, and this taught me things i didn't even know existed in the program i feel like my third eye has been forcefully pried open
are the handles on the graph editor only able to be turned, but not lengthened? I'm having trouble getting multiple keyframes to have smooth continuous curves between them with the way the handles are.
Can you make a video about changing the animation speed, or maybe adding that? It helps with the animation looking how you want it to. I'm sure this could be added on the 12th. Just asking.
Thanks, now I can do tweening in CSP. Can you plz tell how to copy drawing from one cell to another. I tried it but we can't edit drawing in cell, whenever you do it.
This is awesome, I've been looking for the File Objects feature but didn't know what it was called. One question about using animated files nested in other files. I can't get the 2D camera in one file to appear in the other file it's nested in, is there a way to do that?
I still don't know how to tween different animation folders at the same time. Anytime I try to move it the outline only gets selected while the colour remains in one spot
how do you get the transparency to the file object of the egg-man? When I import an .clip animation, there's always a white background, even if I saved the file it without. To select it as a draft layer makes no difference.
With playback, framerate stutters will be dependent on two things: your PC, and your resolution. If your PC is weaker, sometimes playback will be choppier, but for resolution, gifs really aren't meant to be big. I rarely go above 900x900 pixels myself. Make sure you're not doing large size images that you'd normally do for static art.
you could also try changing the playback settings, go to Animation>Playback Settings>Prefer Speed it may not look the best but itll play your animation a little better and its good for just drafting animations. You could also try to allocate more ram by going to File>Preferences>Performance>Allocate to application x%. Also, you can try changing the render settings by going to Animation>Playback Settings>Render before starting playback. Obviously, yeah canvas size and amount of layers will contribute to that, but if csp still doesnt yield, just do an export and judge your animation from that and make changes in the project. I'm wondering if the "file objects" tutorial shown here will help with lag for animations with lots of layers but i havent tested it out. hopefully this helps you or someone else reading!
How much it helped! But the thing is it help one day and wouldn't the other and stopped working for the rest wich kinda upset me.. who else had this problem?
2:31 Can somebody please tell me how you can squash and stretch with the object tool for tweening!?? I'm trying so much to find out but I can't find the answer anywhere ;o; I know the Transform tool can squash and stretch but I can use that tool for motion tweens. I wanna do what Zedrin does at this timestamp
Hey , i am too trying to understand this ; did you find an answer to this ? EDIT : HEY I JUST FOUND ITTT ! HE DEACTİVATES '' Keep aspect ratio '' ON OBJECT TOOL JUST FOR SCALİNG !! hope it helps to you too !!!
If studio trigger made a touhou anime with pc98 characters, original story, new characters ( marisa and remiu who'd be the main focus) and influenced by ZUN or you'd have any idea's.
