Much appreciated! I watched you do this in 16 minutes, downloaded your file, and it still took me over an hour to change it to suit my wants. :D Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Whoa, the soundbed of the tutorial is the exact same track as the Premiere ad that ran before it. (Shoutout to Adobe stock sound, I guess!) This video is super helpful and I can't wait to learn more about After Effects from your tutorials. Thank you!
Amazing tutorial. I experimented a little bit with attaching a camera to the null and making all those layers 3D. So essentially you could create the impression that the map is lying on a desk and you move towards it. The only thing I wonder is how to make the connections between the points in 3D space, so that it's not on the ground, but like a bent line in 3D space, for instance reflecting the flight path of a plane. But anyway, your tutorials are always super helpful!
Download the one in his project file which he put it in his description. It worked well for me! :) www.mediafire.com/file/0gb37mda1jd0c56/Map_Tut.zip/file
Hey fellow Gamecock, I am new to Adobe AE. As I watch the video, I attempt to follow along, but being ignorant of this software makes my head spin. Help, please.
You must have some layer selected from before if that happens. Click away so that none of the layers are selected, then click the pen, it will create a new shape layer.
You can download and use the projects in your own work as you need, you just can't resell any files or claim them as your own. Overall they are totally free to use! :)
