@@mgc1022 I remember his first appearance in "Buster And The Daredevils" he did voice Slink, and this character named Toby was voiced by the voice actress who did Wheezie from _Dragon Tales_ and many other characters from diferent cartoons
Michael, Roman, and Mark all in that order. I think that Mark had the most age-appropriate voice for depicting a 9yr old, plus there are subtle moments where his clarity is off key and his pitch goes the wrong way in sound when he speaks, really depicting real life kid language rather than overly polished and auto tuned. Michael is the best of them all, it’s amazing he lasted 6 seasons, his voice didn’t change much until seasons 5/6, if you watch all those episodes in order you can hear subtle changes in Michael losing that mid-range pitch of typical 8-12yr old boys, and beginning to gain some social maturity in how he reads his lines and intentionally changes his pitch or inflection at specific scenes.
Justin Bradley and Mark Rendall sounded no different from Michael Yarmush when voicing Arthur. These was the closest I've ever heard to Arthur's original voice. I wish I could hear a voice actor who could sound closest to these three I mentioned!
Really? I don’t think they sound anything like Yarmush.. I remember watching the show when my mom ran a daycare when I was young and when I had children of my own and they’d watch it I couldn’t get over Arthur’s voice sounding nothing like I remember
I totally agree. Since Arthur's second and third voice actors sound almost exactly the same as his first voice actor. LOL I honestly thought that Arthur had the same voice actor for a long time at first.
@@Alex-eb6je What's the actual differences between Arthur's first and second voice actor? Both of those voice actors almost sound exactly the same, in my opinion. I originally thought that Arthur had the same exact voice actor from at least the first 8 seasons. LOL
I grew up with the first few seasons and even remember when Michael Yarmush was hitting Puberty in season 5. So I'm kinda bias here. Mark and Cameron were okay
The first 3 voice actors of the T.V. show were the one I remember & liked the most. The fourth voice and so on were to high pitch or didn't sound right
All these kids sound similar, that’s why I never quite noticed the changes as a child. But for clarification, they were replacing kids after they hit puberty, right?
I’m not even sure if all of these voice actors even hit puberty. Some of them still sounded young by the end of their time as Arthur. Dallas Jokic is a good example.
Brain: What's up with san lung? Arthur: you know what sup with san lung. he always changed kids from shaolin different between than us. Francine: San? San lung was always on his own, always out for self. Master sanryu: That's the surest path to hail, man. Well - that or fourteen microsage and an once of a misery. -Arthur movie 4 The big trouble in the elwood city, the finals thoughts beats Ji pein! Defeated of world.
Ahh yes Arthur. I remember watching this on CBBC with my older sister when we were younger and they even used to play this a lot at my Catholic primary/elementary which I used to go to for two days a week. As far as voice I honestly don’t know which one I like heck which ones I have heard with the amount of recast Arthur has had over the years which makes things more harder for me to judge.
Well the original voice actor was getting older and the voice would be too deep and they don’t want a deep voice for Arthur so they keep replacing but they don’t seem to keep it permanent
@@reverseprime141: Arthur and DW voice actors are the most frequently changed! The rest don’t need to Change voice actors since buster, Francine, muffy, binky are voiced by adults since the show started way back in 96
Justin Bradley is actually my favorite Arthur. I hate that they complete erased him from the show. I know everyone is gonna Yarmush because he was the first, and he said "I told you not to touch it." But I feel Bradley brought more edge to the role.
1. Michael Yarmush: That iconic scream and laugh are what made the character. 2. Mark Rendall: Rendall sounds like a good successor, despite a slight speech impediment. 3. Drew Adkins: Adkins is the closest to Rendall and Yarmush. 4. Jacob Ursomarzo: Sounds like an improved take on Justin Bradley's performance. 5. William Healy: Healy is a bit high pitched, but he's not that bad. 6. Cameron Ansell: Ansell at times had a higher sounding voice than D.W. did, and at times it was a little girly. 7. Dallas Jokic: A little stilted in delivery, and the direction of his acting makes Arthur sound confused. 8. Justin Bradley: Oh dear... Absolutely wooden, lacking emotion and sounds whiny when Arthur is concerned or upset. It sounds like Steven Universe. 9. Roman Lutterotti: This voice is still fairly new to me, so this is why he's ranked here. 10. Pamela Adlon: Adlon is a good voice actress but this isn't a good performance. 11. Ben Ellis: Ellis sounds a little too old for this role. 12. Phillip Penalosa: Singing voice, it's good for what it is. 13. Adam Hilyer: This sounds like Peppermint Patty, and would fit D.W. 14. Carr Thompson: Not particularly a bad performance just not what I envisioned for Arthur. 15. Duncan Wold: Wold sounds a little too much like Jason Szwimmer's D.W. voice. 16. Kye Sones: Obviously it's redubbed for British territories but the delivery sounds stilted.
@@joelntimba2874 I actually originally thought that Arthur had the same exact voice actor up to the season (around season 8) when I originally stopped watching Arthur as a teenager back then. LOL
Michael Yarmush, Mark Rendall, and Cameron Ansell are my favorites. Some people say Ansell's voice is too high, but I like his inflection. I haven't seen many episodes with Jacob Ursomarzo but his performance is probably the best after those three.
Michael Yarmush does provide Arthur’s singing voice on the 1st Arthur music CD based off that episode with the music videos and he actually sounds pretty good.
Fun Fact: Arthur's voice actor for Seasons 20 and 21, Jacob Ursomarzo was also the second voice of Connor aka Catboy from PJ Masks. Coincidentally, the title character's voice actor for Seasons 22-25, Roman Lutterotti also played the same character on that show as well.
Can you do a voice comparison of D.W.? 1. Kelly Greenley 2. Elizabeth Telefus 3. Mariella Miller 4. Andrew Dayton 5. Jake Beale 6. Ethan Pugiotto 7. Robert Naylor 8. Oliver Grainger 9. Christian DiStefano 10. Michael Caloz 11. Jason Szimmer 12. Mary Kay Bergman 13. Shoshana Bush 14. Luciano Rauso
They really need to hire a voice actor that’s closest to Yarmush. Literally everyone in the newer seasons (specifically after Rendall) just sound really pitchy and annoying. :(
I had no idea Arthur had a British dub voice actor in Living Books, that's pretty funny actually Good choice of clip to specifically show him saying "chewsday"
This is why they often cast girls and women to voice boys in animation. If a show goes on for a few years, male voices deepen too much and have to be replaced. Obviously Michael set a standard as the original TV voice, but Mark and Drew sound closest to him.
1:33, when you think: Arthur seems to be voiced by Michael Yarmush like in season 5... You see the credits: wha??? Yarmush got replaced??? But, Arthur sounds like season 5
Michael Yarmush, Mark Rendall, Cameron Ansell, Dallas Jokic, Drew Adkins, William Healy, Jacob Ursomarzo, Roman Lutterotti, Pamela Adlon, Philip Penalosa, and Carr Thompson
Voice Comparison ABC Order Ranking For Arthur 1.) Adam Hilyer 2.) Ben Ellis 3.) Cameron Ansell 4.) Carr Thompson 5.) Dallas Jokic 6.) Drew Adkins 7.) Duncan Wold 8.) Jacob Ursomarzo 9.) Justin Bradley 10.) Kye Sones 11.) Mark Rendall 12.) Michael Yarmush 13.) Pamela Adlon 14.) Philip Penalosa 15.) Roman Lutterotti 16.) William Healy
I have to comment on D.W's voice since other videos have comments turned off. The actor who has that sorta raspy voice for DW is the best one. The newer voice makes her sound like a little kid with no spunk.
lol Between Yarmush and Bradley they were the ones that I grew up with, though Yarmush was the OG Goat and Bradley seemed like he was a Back up for when Yarmush was sick 😂 As they seemed to be around the same time.. Dang well also Mark Randall, actually most of these boy actors seemed to have juggled with playing Arthur, But Bradley sounded the most off putting as he sounded too old for the role
