@freewoodencrosses I do not use O rings. The pulleys are made of high quality outdoor plastice. The belts are made of Polycord which comes from switzerland. It comes in 25' length and I fuse them to fit each whirligig. I have not had to replace any belts in over 15 years. Thanks
These are some of the best I have ever seen! Design, detail and impeccable workmanship. I was disappointed I could not find your website. Hope you are still making these treasures.
Can you give us links for the polycord and pulleys please. Also the size/weight of the polycord and technique/supplies and sources for fusing. Many thanks. Nice application
It looks like you use o-rings as a gear stepdown,,,Very smart, but of course outside they will deteriorate. Do you give extras or talk about where to get extras? Thanks, good job on quality
Hi as a Maker of Victorian rocking horses I have seen your whirligigs and like to have a change and seeing your whirligigs I am going to have a go at them
His body goes up and down on brass pole and the wings are attached to eye bolts at the top. Also has wheels on his tail so it won't rub against the sky.
