I can’t even draw a straight line to save my life, i can’t spend anymore than 5 minutes on something I don’t like or want to do unless I like it. Girl says she’s a newbie and then makes a masterpiece
😍it’s soo cute!! 😱you should totally have one of your brothers voice his sigh!!! It would be soo cool if you did another animation! Like chase playing tennis!!
I haven't watched/read any of your "My Next-door Neighbours comic", because I wanted to wait until you have tons of chapters made, so I can binge watch them. With over 30 chapters out, I think the time has finally come!
Hey! Artist and animator here! I actually didn’t find this video really frustrating at all. In fact, all the things you did were actually really smart! I’d love to see more animation videos in the future!💖💖
Brayson looks SO AMAZING! The annoyed sighed fits him so perfectly! I've always wanted to animate, but I'm still working on drawing. Now that I've seen you do it, I'm more motivated to improve. Thank you! I hope you will continue to do what makes you happy!
This was a very helpful animation process. I've been struggling to find simple animation tutorials for days now 'cause I find some of them difficult to understand. Your video helped me a lot!!! Thank you so much!!✨
Hey I have an idea! Remember the Princess Peach 3D cutout you made WAYYYYYYYY back? I think it would be cool if you made your "My Next Door Neighbors" characters in 3D cutouts too! Just a suggestion tho! ^^ aND I would LOVE to see you animate again :3
You're so good at animating and drawing! This video really helped me, I have been trying to figure out how to animate well for about a month now. Thanks! QwQ
I don’t animate a ton, however I do suggest flowing in and out. So for example when animating a ball there’s less frames when it’s in the middle, but more when going up and down :) I don’t know if that’s a great explication, but you asked for tips so I decided to try. I would enjoy seeing you animate again!
Animator here! Most of what you did is generally okay. First of all 24 fps is the standard, when we animate at 12 fps we keep the timeline at 24 and make the drawings last two frames. Second one thing I didn't see you do and it helps A TON is flipping between frames to check for off modelness and consistency, less onion skin, more flipping. You can assign shortcuts to flip between cels (Not frames!!). Good job keeping the whole character in one layer, I see a lot of people that cut the parts into different layers and most of the time its a waste of resources, if you can get it done in one. Vector layers are GOAT, you don't know how many times I was saved from having to redraw a line in the nigen phase (tie down of the keyframes, tracing the director's corrections) The standard anime way of coloring is a little bit different, I'll leave a reply with how it's done in the industry below this comment. Overall 3 hours is not that bad in terms of speed, granted it's an easy motion, but sometimes animators like me spend days on a single cut of a sequence (Specially if it has a lot of movement, I spent 5 days on a single dance scene cut when I was starting out) You should try a more complicated style for animation, getting to see your characters (Or characters in general) in th style they were intended move in a believable way is really satisfying ^v^
I’m not a pro animator, but a really good app that I use is called Live 2D Cubism which makes animation much easier, and you won’t have to trace the same drawing again and again but instead just separate parts of the drawing that you want to be animated.
I remember my first time watching this video When Rebeka said "I'm going to animate my character Brayson sighing" I remember I was like "who is Brayson???" (this was the second video I watched from Rebeka's channel) Only yesterday, I started to watch her webcomic "My Next-door Neighbors" (It's amazing!) After watching/reading all the chapters, I remembered that in this video, she animates a character (Brayson) from "My Next-door Neighbors" That's why I Re-watched it!
Omg! I had no idea u could animate,i love it plssss make another video. I love ur art. Just like OMG. It was so cool. I could keep typing complements 4ever!!!!
Ok I am honestly freaking out!!! It the first time someone actually replyed to my comment. Plus we should be the ones thanking u because u make such good vids for us. As u said it took u around 3 hrs which us alot if hard work. So thank u for making such wonderful vids :)
I've thought about doing animation a few times but I think I'm more comfortable with drawing for now😅 Your animation of Brayson came out great! He's alivee OoO
Dude, that’s great for a first try! I didn’t think I could animate, either. My first tries were pretty ambitiously I think my proudest one so far is of Ralsei (Deltarune) taking off his hat to the choreography of Elsa taking off her gloves. The scene took like 32 individual frames, and included quite the perspective, but I was proud enough to start working on an animated short! (Will definitely upload if I ever finish) Here are some main recommendations: -Turn off lineweight for complex animations. Varying lines can really interfere with the illusion if you’re beginning. -Draw a very sketchy chibi in the corner, and fill it in with your base (and maybe shading) colours. Personally, my pallets are very messy, and having a little reminder helps a lot. Consistent models are key. -Dont worry about smear frames just yet. They’re kinda complicated, and annoying to implement. Would not recommend if you’re trying to get the hand of it. Hope this helps a bit. I’m no professional-just a hobbiest ^^
For one of your first animations, this is very good! I would recommend watching AlanBeckerTutorials’ 22 Principles of Animation if you haven’t already, I find it very helpful. I’d love to see more, thanks for making this! It really inspired me ^^
You’re animations in the past and present are so nice! Also road to 500K! I also suggest you to put in the middle of the video “Subscribe and click the bell so you won’t miss my future videos!” & “Can we get (Number) Likes? I’d appreciate it! ^u^” It’s okay if you disagree.
I have some tips that can make your animations better ^^ : -try making the transition from the first and second frames not to ruff. For example, don't make the eyes from the first and second part too far, that'll make it look really ruff if you do -more FPS(frames per second) the smoother the animation looks(I don't really know if you can adjust that in clip studio) -if you want to do a drawing animation like this, try making all of the frame a ruff sketch first, then draw the line art. For me it's easier to do it like that Well that's all I hope this helped •w•
I feel like animation is a bit hard, and you're a lot better than me at least 😂😂 (I'm still working on my anatomy -_-) ALSO I LOVED THE FINAL RESULT!!! HE'S BEAUTIFUL 😍💕💕
You know what? Drawing is a great skill to have if you wanna animate, I can animate so good, but I just can’t draw. And even using characters are hard! I can use a stick figure, squiggly line, circle, etc, etc.
So you know how you do the “drawing your Gacha characters”? Their is a new Gacha life, and their are new things in it! It might be a bit cooler to animate something that looks more cartoony, because that’s kinda the style for the new Gacha life.
I know I'm late, but there is this person on RU-vid who does animations on Clip Studio paint, and she does tutorials. Her name on RU-vid is Nicca, and her animations are as if they're from an anime. I think you should check her out, she has a lot of tips for animating :D
