With this quick rendition I wanted to see if a "realistic" transformation could work with 2d animation. Unfortunately without a final and more accurate depiction is hard to answer to that question. My final consideration: On one side since the transformation lasts for about 14 frames (on ones) it should be easy to trick the viewers' eye. On the other side in order to represent a more convincing process it is necessary to invest more time into designing mechanical parts and their path throughout the sequence. Maybe in the future I could try something more polished.
I think it definitely gives the intended effect, with a little bit more detail it could greatly improve. I'd love to see you take on other character transformations, potentially different angles of the same transformation. Fantastic work!
