+M. Karasneh Yeah, there are a lot of youtubers animators that don`t do the whole lip sync. So its imperrisive that Domics has the patience in doing this.
why would you even complain in the first place?! His animations are amazing! Surely you had to have seen that a lot of work was put into his animations even BEFORE he made this video!
There's one hard truth I learned from animating various different ways to lipsyncing. "No one way is the right way." Case and point: Most anime has simple mouth movements, yet it's believable that they are talking. Muppets have the most simple mouth movements, and they are believably talking. The point of lipsyncing isn't to make it REAL, it's to make it BELIEVABLE. And as any real animator will tell you, the point of animation is to make it better than reality.
Animating for me is hard especially when u do different positions im like nah I'll do it tomorrow nah I'll do it next week nah I'll do it next month nah I'll do it after a decade
Holy moly I just found your channel literally yesterday and this is around when you started. That’s so cool!! Also thinking of beginning to animate... idk yet
+Sarah Kelly It ended for the creator to make a show for Fox. I really hate Fox sometimes; they took X-Men (They got it when Marvel was Marvel, but now it's Disney so I say they bought it from Disney), now they took Gravity Falls from us for some new show! ;•;
@@clooxies2952 You don't know how much i wish to be a smartass, sadly im not. And about shutting up, no, maybe he doesn't know how to spell, im not judging, but i want to help people to be able to spell so in the future, they don't make the same mistake.
***** It really gets annoying, with After Effects and Premiere Pro too if you're working with footage, sfx, music etc. After a full video production I can't see the finished product anymore. I did this in school for 4 years, imagine how I felt after I got my degree ... and knowing you'll do it all over again with work.
A while back I started trying to animate. I was crap balls at lip syncing. After watching this video, I tried again and kept trying. Recently one of my friends saw one of my animation tests and she said, "This reminds me of a youtuber named Domics" (she had no idea I had even heard of you before) so, it works guys. Instant animation master. Honestly, thank you domics. Thank you and your canasian self.
Pain Killers take about i guess 10-30 years maybe . They need about 400+ crew members all for their own work. so if only one guy did this would be a equation x*(365*2)=answer meaning it would take 292000+ hours which is 33.31122945499 years so yea. That`s why they have multiple companies and industries if you only industry made all of our animations and there was only 1 guy so yup we would get a new movie every 30-40 years tops.
Hephaestus' Child I tried doing one sentence just now, literally just got flash and recorded a sentence through audacity, first time animating, it took me an hour and a half...it was like four words, and now its past 1 am
Thats why I'm not GONNA Lip sync! :D I'm just gonna be lazy and spit out videos 2 times a month! Quality might be bad but when I hit a thousand subs, THEN Imma take it to the next level B)
Well you don’t actually have to learn this video. Say the words that you are trying to lip sync, and draw your mouth movements. At least, that is how I do it. You don’t have to make it perfect, you just got to make it believable.
Malak Almeel same! I wonder how many minutes/hours it takes him JUST to lip sync ONE video! I don't blame him if he takes like a day to upload a new video now that I know this
Dom, you are one of my favorite animators and this vid helped me learn a bit more since I plan to animate things in the near future. I hope you can do these things forever - Enzo
In short, I watched a 20-minute video which I will never apply in whatsoever in my life. /throws confetti everywhere because fab. Thanks for making cool vids Dom. Must've been challenging and difficult. .-.
Whenever I see 2k13 for some reason I read it as 20 k 13 lol (Same for DJ Pon3 I used to read her name as DJ Pony 3 though it's pronounced pone-3 like pony but without the y sound y'know?)
NOW YOU WILL APPRECIATE ANIMATORS AND THE WORK THAT THEY PUT IN TO MAKE FILMS 🙃😆LOL When I'm older, I'm going to HOPEFULLY get a job as an animator ❤️😄I'm currently studying animation btw!
+HappyPonyJunior exactly. it's not difficult drawing each frame if you know how to draw and what poses/mouth structure you're drawing and if it runs smoothly. it's just a very, VERY slow process depending on how many frames and/or how detailed the drawings in the frames are.
Thanks for bringing this up! This is actually quite important because it'll screw you up if you don't know the reasoning behind this. But like anxietydown said, after completing your animation, you might want to decrease the FPS down about .3 to .5 frames before exporting so your animation stays synced throughout the rendering process. So my 24 fps would be decreased to 23.95 (or 23.97).
Domics thanks for making this video! although I'm kind of two years late xD (ah I remember the macromedia days) so I'll understand if you don't reply to this, (but if you do see this :3) ..I'm not too sure I get this. do you slow it down for exporting because the lip sync plays too fast? or...something else?
This video was extremely helpful! I’m trying to learn animating so I can make storytime videos and this is one thing I’ve been having trouble with. Showing the mouth shapes for all of the sounds definitely helped a lot! Thank you for the extremely useful tutorial!
Get the app Framecast, you can animate there. (Btw it's hard at first, but easy once you get the hang of it) And if you get an account you can post it and other users can see XD
I’ve made a few AMVs and it takes nowhere near the time and skill of an animation it gets really tedious as you play small bits of audio over and over agin until you get it how you want and this video definitely shows that. You can tell which videos I got lazy on as far as transitions and timing and even in my decent ones you can still see points where I got lazy. Just a sentence of lip synced animation was slowly going over each sound your mouth would make just to copy it. I find it amazing there are people in the world who have the patience for this.
Thanks Dom for taking us fans through the tedious process of lip syncing. Its definitely very interesting to watch and know how time consuming it is to lip sync. ><
Wow thank you for the tutorial. I tried to learn how to animate a couple months back but gave up. With this tutorial I'm going to try my best to learn again.
Oh no! Oh, oh, no. Don't give up! If you really want to animate, you will. Keep trying, please. You don't start out being some amazing animator. It takes a lot of practice and effort. Months, years even. But do not give up, or you will never get where you want to go.
Thanks Dee. These tutorials are making me rethink if i really want to do animation. Lol you're making it look easy when i'm like solving a math equation here with no definite solution / answer :D I couldn't even do a decent stick figure animation.. Smh God of animation please bless me with skills and talent *sits in the corner*
Omg thank you so much for this video ive recently started animating and lip syncing is really hard for me but after watching this video my skills have gotten better
Never questioned how long he took to make videos, never will As an amateur animator(edit: oh cool an alliteration) Dom, yoo my inspiration. Stay awesome👍
