MjustDeM thats because some animators want their SFM to be perfect and they also do Trials and errors to perfect the sfm and so thats why they were able to make perfect sfm animation for all to enjoy
I disagree with the "completely different" idea. They're both the same (animator's animation fights back against said animator) idea with a slightly different approach.
Late reply, but I think you're half true about that. The concept is the same but due to how the animation in the video was picked, I feel like the approach was different, as it uses SFM animation program and not stop motion animated like the one Alan Becker made.
I am speechless and confused. I would never expect to win Best Overall, but I did. There were several others who I really think deserved this a lot more than I did, but this is how it went. Looking away from this, I would like to thank everyone who supported this video and voted for this at the Saxxies. I really appreciate the support and I'm glad I could entertain you!
Congratulations Ferhod I voted for you and I knew you would win one of the category's but Overall Winner is amazing in its own right - I hope this win inspires you and motivates you to keep making your awesome SFM videos - Congrats again you 100% deserve the overall win :)
At first I felt sad scrolling through the winners for the categories, I thought "aw, he didn't win Comedy." Then I saw it as Overall winner and was like "HOLY CRAP YOU DID IT!" You definitely deserve it! WAIT aren't you going to go to valve and get a tour of some sort? That's so amazing!! They should hire you ;)
1:07 - Pause the video: "Unknown command: heartbeat" 1:29 - Wait for a tiny bit then pause the video: "Dropped Ferhod from server (Disconnect by user.)"
I`ve got to say this might be one of the best sfm movies I have ever seen. I tip my hat to you good sir and I hope you win a saxxy for this masterpiece :3
Judging by every other single comment on this video, I'm going to assume nobody stayed after the credits to take notice of the reference to "Meet the Scout." I used to always stay after the movies were over for any last-minute jokes, so I'm glad I waited. :/ Secrets, people. Stay after the credits.
Okay I may not be an sfm user, but by looking at this video alone, I can understand the pain animators had to go through for content. Which makes me appreciate them even more than ever. Props to you, man. Also, I love the parallel of meet the scout at the very end.
So this is based off of a video. This does remind me of this rather old flash animation of a stick figure in Flash messing up a flash animator's stuff.
