I love that the overarching story of AvA is basically "animator accidentally creates sentient artificial life, immediately tries to kills it, then matures and grows as a person and starts hanging out with it instead."

Only now just realising that the guy he was talking to at the beginning was the first Kickstarter contributor. This was, and still is a masterpiece. I love this, your characters, and everything about the Animator VS Animation series. Thank you for creating something great :)

I love how Darren is just "oh, I don't mind that a stick figure you made SOMEHOW became self-aware, had Isekai powers, and blew up your computer". Like Alan is telling him what he did last monday.

It's curious that Chosen was immediately hostile the moment he came to life, while TSC is all innocent, childlike and full of wonder

I like how canonically, animators can just make life by making a stick figure, and can assign them different power levels.

I think this episode can be considered the beginning of everything for the AVA series because it is the first appearance of the main characters in the series. Of course, it is very important in AVA 5 and 6, but in my opinion, the most important episode was the one that added the most meaning to the story in this AVA series, and it was also the first episode that you made with a really high quality. Even though I watched it years ago, it is still a very nice animation quality that never gets old.

The subtitles- AMAZING

i came across Alan's channel around November of last year. When I saw SC i got a MAJOR like 3 second flashback of SC jumping through the air or sm idk. i IMMEDIATELY clicked on the video (It was the season 3 all episodes) and now in here. my new fav ytuber Edit: Forgot to mention but i ordered the couch figures and they're almost here EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE i'll update when they get here

It's actually quite interesting to notice just how much Alan has improved since making this masterpiece! It didn't seem all that different until you go back and see them side by side... the newer animations are just somehow smoother and more defined, but in a subtle way. You wouldn't expect it to be possible to improve perfection and yet somehow he did.

I can't believe this is eight years old now, I remember watching it when it just came out.

The Chosen one and Dark lord are super op and crashed Alan’s computer, however one thing they never accomplished was destroying Alan’s mouse, then TSC just up and does it.

I remember when it was back in 2019 or 2020 when I first discovered this channel, think it had around a million subs that time? I was into stickman animations back then so I really loved this channel, watched it for a few months, then when I grew out from my stickman phase I naturally slowly just stopped watching this channel...4 years has passed and it's honestly a pleasant surprise to see that Alan Becker apparently suddenly started gaining a lot more popularity since my friends are all talking about him, and I was even more surprised to see how big of a creator he is now. I've just decided to return to this channel and catch up on all the lore I've missed these years lol

So nobody's gonna talk about how good Alan's persuasion skills must be to convince Darren that a stickman destroyed his computer.

Honestly I love always just now and then coming back to these old videos after watching a new one of your uploads... it gives so much nostalgia and just so many memories!

How the hell is this five years old? It still feels brand new.

This really hits different after all the time we spent watching these guys evolve into individuals with well fleshed-out personalities, gaining skills/powers, becoming best friends and making new friends along the way. Makes you see it in a whole new context. Edit: Also, rewatching this made me realize something: There seems to be a pattern with Red where in the majority of instances, if not all, he's the first to go down whether by getting deleted or incapacitated in any other way. That's mostly because he's the most impulsive one and the first to jump into action, but it happens here too, while he's not even doing anything Alan decides to delete him first through Task Manager. He also seems to be the one to attract trouble the most.

Ya know, a thought occured. The desktop of Alan's computer has been updated over the years past this video, which means that he somehow found a way to port the same copies of these stick figures forward into his newer systems, and they went along with it.

this is EASILY my favorite Animation Versus- animation, first to AVM, and I'm a Minecraft youtube channel! But, I have so many memories with this, THIS is my childhood. Thank you for this creation, and continuing to create these. I do kinda want to see the facebook emojis again (idk what they're called). They're CUTE!

Not even Alan Becker, let alone the almost 200 million people who've watched this, could've known the legendary series that would arise from this video here. 8 years of dedication and amazing storytelling, animation, and honestly pure genius, and it all started here.

You know, it's been a long time since I saw your first "episode" of these animations. Guess it's close to 8 years, and that would have put me in the 6th grade. The whole concept was my favorite, and I used to be really into sites like stickpage and all their stick fight animations. I never thought I would come back and see numbers 3 and 4, and 4 being such a profound watch. In 13 minutes I saw what is now probably not even close to being one of your biggest projects, but made me feel connected to you in the craziest way. Since I'm now in my sophomore year of college studying computer science, it's so strange thinking about middle school watching your first animations. And it's amazing how far you went with it. It looks like you've done really well for yourself doing something it seems like you love, and maybe I'm just a big sap, but there was more emotion roiling in me from this video than a lot of movies I've seen. The scene where you pan to your workspace and see all these concepts you threw out or stopped and the stick figure finishing them, perfecting them. I could see this point where it made sense, that the reason you're doing what you're doing now is because 8 years or so ago you made this funny little animation about an animator defending his work from his creation, and now from just that you've become such a fantastic artist and it's all thanks to that little bastard who killed AIM. I'm glad you stuck with it, and I wish I had the passion, patience, and dedication for the things I love that you do. I hope you keep doing it. But for me, nothing you do will ever compare to this. You have touched my heart, and it just makes it really special. I hope you read this and it makes you smile, and thank you for the nostalgia from 12 year old me, and thank you for... You know, I don't know how to say it. But I think you know what I meant when I said this animation is special. So just thank you.

This is my favourite 'Animator vs. Animation' ever! it was like SC meeting his friends for the first time, and alan giving him a chance, and then they all are friends is just so cool! and now his channel is about the 5 stickmans playing (or having fun) in minecraft, its just so godly.

I like how the ending shows that he's learned his lesson when it comes to dealing with sentient stick figures. Rather than destroy him, just be nice to him.

I still love how you can tell a lot about about something without needing to have them speak.
