T2rx6 Ah no worries, yeah sometimes the alerts don’t work for some reason. Yeah I’m super excited to bring Billy Bob back to life. Showbiz pizza was a part of my childhood and as a kid thought Rockafire band was alive at the time. 😀
Wow this is next level stuff! Never heard of Showbiz Pizza before but I will be following this project closely! Don't be afraid to show all work your doing to it along the way!
Start To Continue Pretty cool huh? Yeah it’s one thing to be a kid watching this Band play, but now actually owning the characters and bringing them back to life. I’m having a blast working on them too. 👍
This is going to be a fun undertaking my friend! I've never messed around with solenoids but this is going to be right up your alley. How far are you going to take it in terms of restoring the figure? Are you going to leave the aluminum as is or buff it up? I think it would look super sharp with all of t oxidation removed from the metal. Looking forward to the whole process! Cheers, Joe
My Life In Collecting Yep it’s been very relaxing and fun for me so far. I’ve been sanding the frame little by little. I’m not going to make it shine like chrome which technically I could do using aluminum metal polish. I just want to remove the oxidation like you said and make it look like it did in the 80s. Working through all the little things I’ve come across so far whether it’s either an adjustment or a bad cylinder. Well I’ll talk to you later Joe. 👍
Great video, Lotus. Wow, I wasn’t sure what to expect but this robot is pretty cool. I’m looking forward to seeing how the restoration process plays out. I’m impressed with your knowledge and your desire to learn about this stuff. Have a great weekend. Cheers M
I love these things and would love to own the actual build (costume is optional), it’s just unfortunate how much these things were neglected and left to rot
Hi, can you tell me more about the flow controls? I'm creating animatronics on my own and the flow controls you showed is the only thing i have problems with, to get the right parts, not that expensive, and that it actually works by pushing electric buttons. Can you help me with my project? I'd be very glad about it if you could help me a bit with these flow controls. Btw very helpful videos, great!
hey me and my family have been trying to get the Rockafire explosion band animatronics so we can have them in our basement to put on show I was just asking where you got Billy bob?
It would be great to have a restaurant with a RAE show. I just think it’s so expensive for a business to have. The maintenance on the characters is very labor intensive. 👍
You can create a saved search on eBay and then when one pops up eBay will alert you. Just save up your money because they cost thousands of dollars even in poor condition. 👍
Unfortunately yes they are expensive. I have 28 videos showing the restoration. By the time you are done restoring a character, you’ll spend more than 7500. For most people who don’t want to restore a character, it would be better for them to spend 15,000 and buy one that is fully restored. Lots of time and learning went into the project so you also have to account for that as well. Thanks for watching 🙏
@@showbizgreensboro8956 not the entire video, i usually do 20 sec skips on the uninteresting parts, i assume you can find similar animatronics in ebay if you need one.
You can if they have any characters left but they are worth lots of money, you can find mech for around 1000-5000 that need restoration most likely or 15,000 I wanna say for a character that's newly restored They are lots of money
Hey can anyone tell me where i can buy one of these showbiz pizza animatronics? I really wanted one for a very long time to restore it. Please tell me if you know or sell one.
Lotus Stark i have no idea if you did or not, but dont contact aaron, maybe buy things from him but he doesnt like when people restore his animatronics for some odd reason. he is known for lashing out at people who also have shows that work just as well or even better as his. i am totally in support of you restoring this billy bob and am excited to see the end result. just warning you that aaron isnt exactly the nicest guy. his work is very nice though
