I was initially disappointed that the old cast wasn’t returning but all my doubts have been assuaged. They really got exactly the right actor for each character.
Not saying that this one is likely to be cut but its worth acknowledging that these are just iconic lines reads. It's entirely possible for some to end up cut or revised in the final script.
You could play Allegra and Tara's Mitsuru back to back and I'd think they're the same person. Allegra continues to NEVER miss. Aleks being so into it makes this even better
@@hundvd_7 Actually, I'm french and i can say she's got an accent, but her pronunciation is almost 100% perfect. Mitsuru's first language is Japanese and she speaks French (English in the jp version) as a second language, It makes sense that how her actress speaks, her french doesn't sound 100% exactly like a real french person
My only disappointment is that they didn't make Mitsuru's actress didn't say "Marin Karin" or Akihiko's actor say "ya see that, Shinji!?" Junpei's classic "tray ben, what is that, French" would've been nice, but I take solace in the fact that we got to hear an early return of Junpei Iori, Ace Detective.
Wow, Yukari's va is actually perfect. Kinda miffed about Akihiko. It's not bad, not at all. Just different. The protein line was awesome, but the "i've been waiting for this" lost its luster. I'm gonna miss hearing Liam's delivery of that line
Yeah I just posted my own comment early about dual audio because while some of them are good n I do like their works on other voices they just can't compete with the OG mainly Akihiko I'm not a fan of it compared to Liam.
Akihiko won't sound like this in-game. Speaking to a crowd in a normal mic in a wide space won't sound like speaking in a booth. Man also got nervous, he put more emphasis on "THIS" than "WAITING" which shows he just wanted to say the line and be done with it.
Paula Tiso really deserves more Voice Roles. She a criminally underrated VA in my eyes (Lulu in Final Fantasy 10 and Laughing Octopus in Metal Gear Solid 4 are my favourite roles from her).
People just don't like change, I guess？All of these actors are in projects in recent years that you could hear their work from even before this. It's not like they picked random people off the street.
Still iffy about Junpei and Yukari. Might need to see more to decide. As for the Protagonist Honestly would rather mod in the Japanese voice actor. I like his emotionless lines better since it fits the character way better.
I wonder why they changed all the VAs (besides Junpei's; that makes sense). I'm just now playing P3P but so far the new VAs sound good! Kinda bummed about the VA change for Akihiko though; his I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS lacks the iconic meme-ness a little imo. But sweet mama Allegra as Mitsuru is SPOT ON GODDAMN. Allegra Clark never misses! I like how Zeno's Junpei sounds less nasally too tbh.
Love the new voice so much!!! Although I am confused or uncertain if in the P3R are address each playable characters exactly like the Japanese version? I noticed in the original English, Fuuka calls everyone by their first names, but in the new English version, Fuuka calls Mitsuru by her last name. It makes me wonder when Ken Amada is re-introduced next month, if everyone is calling him by his last name or first name like the original English dubbed version?
They all sound very good. Aleks Le bringing his hype energy into this is great to see. Akihiko is very different, but I kinda dig it at the same time. Fuuka sounds much cuter and more like she should've sounded all along. Mitsuru, Yukari and Junpei all sound great.
Heather sounds AMAZING as Yukari! Literally couldn’t tell the difference between her and Michelle, both on voice and delivery! Junpei, Mitsuru and Fuuka sound awesome too! But Akihiko just doesn’t do it for me. Liam cannot be replaced. Maybe it’s just the lack of energy in the clip but it just didn’t feel like Akihiko speaking :( Aleks sounds like he’ll be awesome as Makoto! But I could picture him as Akihiko too.
@@OneLastScholar Haha...no. After playing every English interaction of P3 with Liam in, he will always be the only Akihiko voice for me. I'm sure I won't hate Alejandro, I'm sure he'll be amazing...but Liam will always be my favourite. I like Alejandro in other roles, he's a great voice actor! But I'm just not drawn to his Akihiko voice.

Definitely agree. I think everyone else sounds pretty spot on as much as they can get with it, but Akihiko, for sure, sounds iffy. It's hard, coming from the original it almost sounds like the new voice should be for a whole different character entirely. I'm sure it'll grow on people, though, especially when the game comes out.

This is by far the most reasonable comment I've seen talking about those two voices in particular. I think they both sound awesome, but I completely understand that people will need to get used to them.
My favourite is Junpei. Akihiko is the worst of the bunch. Might even bench him for most battles because of it. Hopefully they balance the characters skills a bit so that Akihiko is not OP like the original games
No offense to Fuuka's original VA -- she just sounded kind of...dull and uninterested. The new VA sounds a lot better, if you ask me. This was fun to watch!
Yeah no, I still like the old voices better. The new voices aren't bad and it won't be end of the world but it still sucks that the remake still won't have the old voices.
I honestly feel like if there were one person they should have attempted to bring back, it should have been Aki. I know I'll end up liking the voice probably, but the old actor was perfect.
I don't mind personally. It's more important that his voice matches the character's personality and night necessarily the previous VA. he's the most different from the original we heard so far but he's still really well cast imho

it doesn't, Mitsuru VA French is miles better than the OG, Fuuka have more emotions than OG, and everyone else sound like the OGs except for Akihiko but i have seen Alejandro Saab in some roles and even if he sounds different he is still a good VA.
@@symphonixblades Nah it sounds average at best and lets not forget Fukka already had a voice change so instead of comparing her to the 1st english dub actress try and at least remember Wendee Lee ended up voicing her in more games then Paula Tiso, so the whole Fukka has more emotion point is mute since that already was the case since the other spinoff games. Like how can this be amazing it's just a few lines and people are praising it like it's already great?

Hoping it's dual audio, while I like the cast in other works they do not all of em can pull of the OG mainly Akihiko new VA, its way to rough sounding that I can't get use too.
Akihiko sounds like 40... Yup, Japanese dub - it's your time to shine! Can't do English dub after them ruining my all-time favorite character's voice in the whole game. The rest sounds nice, especially Mitsuru. Reminds me of Beidou from Genshin.
Nah everyone sounds good except my favorite characters mitsuru and akihiko. Especially akihiko man wtf doesn't sound like the silly main character vibe he had before. He just sounds like a military leader or some shit. No thanks...

just because it's different it doesn't mean it's ruined, listen to Alejandro Saab as for example Jing Yuan in Honkai Star Rail he is a good VA although his voice is usually deep or listen him as Cy Yu (Vtuber) maybe he should have went with his Vtuber voice instead
