it was episode 254 😭😭😭 He was my favourite character and i recognised it immidently and now im depressed. Even the parts that replay from the episode prior (ep 253) the voice changed completely and im not a fan at all
1. Ikue Otani - Just bby :’) 2. Kazue Ikura 3. Brina Palencia 4. Lisa Ortiz - Strikes a slightly better balance than Morinelli, but still just decent. 5. Emlyn Morinelli - Maybe a little tooo bby… to the point where I don’t know if this voice would fit in more serious action scenes.
I like Brina Palencia's take on Chopper. Lisa Ortiz's take is ok, but meh, Chopper sounded like Amy Rose with a cold. lol Emlyn made Chopper sound like a toddler. Fun fact. Lisa Ortiz made a return in One Piece Red to voice the Thousand Sunny. Which it gained a spirit body and all it says is it's own name.
Anyone that’s a fan of the voice actors from Los Angeles, specifically Bang Zoom Studios, who would your preference be as Chopper? Mine would prolly be Sandy Fox.
Brina Palencia In my humble opinion, she has voice talent, but I truly cannot vibe with her dubwork for Chopper. It just doesn't hit all the right points. I feel that Lisa Ortiz strikes a better balance like someone else said in the comments.
The only thing I’d change is giving different voice pitches to reflect the different transformations. Other than that, funimation dub is technically the best of the English ones.
Having watched most of the original series with Japanese voices, I'm used to the cute-sounding young little Chopper tone, the American dubs sound very teen-angsty and not in line with the cute personality of Chopper whatsoever. Palencia is trying too hard to put on a child's voice and it lacks originality, Ortiz sounds like an elderly chainsmoker trying to do a teen voice -- couldn't be worse if she tried! Otani is streets ahead of the rest.
I hate all of them. The 1st one was probably the best. This voice is dragging the One Piece experience for me since I just started. Luffy, Sanji, and Zoro are carrying the show for me.
