Nolan is stronger than Anissa. The speed thing was not mentioned in the comic but it makes sense since Nolan is a tankier build and can tank damages while Anissa would need the speed to dodge as she is less tanky

Flexing off the blood/gore is one of those touches that animation allows them to do that makes a great character even better.

Glad that you picked up on Anissa's character. She is more of a loyal soldier than a bloodthirsty warrior like most viltrumites. And yes, she is one of the most important viltrumite characters in Invincible comics and the most powerful female viltrumite.

We did hear about education from another Viltrumite--his father. It's also the reason why she probably seemed stronger than him to some viewers. It's pretty apparent by this point in the show that Nolan never really wanted to kill his son.

Just gonna throw this out there. Viltrumites don't have super hearing. She's just smart enought to know Mark has a earpiece in.

She’s not stronger than Nolan but she is very powerful I believe she’s one of the strongest females and to prove Omni man was holding back on mark when they fought look at when he fought Lucan who brutally one shot mark and he beat him fairly

She's not "stronger than Nolan" she's only faster than him because her body mass is smaller than his. And the reason why Anissa's fight with Mark ended quicker, is because Nolan was holding back for most of the fight....because you know....Mark is his son. And the reason she's significantly stronger than Mark is because Vilturmites get stronger the older they get. And Anissa is THOUSANDS of years old. While Mark is only like 18? I think?

Poor Amber. She's strong as heck but Mark's world is too much for any human to deal with.

Is there a reason why Anissa is so much stronger than the other female Viltrumite that Mark fought who I would assume had more experience? When Mark stopped holding back, he had the upper hand and could’ve won if he didn’t hesitate against the knife woman. I’m pretty sure he’s not holding back against Anissa since I can’t imagine he would want to hold back against the one who threatened his girlfriend’s life.

Anissa also looks a generation younger then Nolan and the other blood thirsty Viltrumites we've seen. The older Gen seem to live closer in time to that survival of the fitest war Nolan talked about. MAybe the older gen knows that viltrimites can kill other viltrimites but she has just been trained in an era where she is one of the strongest people in the galaxy. She has to be trained into their culture, maybe?

Think about what Mark went through actually. His girlfriend was literally threatened, and immediately after, in the same evening, his mum and brother threatened. That's wild. Poor Mark...

20:12. Maybe it's just me, but I feel Levy's hatred of our Mark is unjustified. Levy said that in most other dimensions Invincible helps Omni-Man take over the planet, but our Mark didn't. Sure, the transfer of memories of his other selves showed Levy what an evil Invincible could be like, but he knows our Invincible is a hero. If Levy is mad at Mark for stopping the memory transfer, as Mauler pointed out by taking of the helmet it caused all of his other selves to die (which Levy seemed to gloss over) & his brain to be deformed. Also, Levy was the 1 who decided to transfer 1,000 minds all at once instead of 1 at a time, so was his own carelessness that caused him to become a villain. Finally, I feel Levy should have teamed up with our Mark to learn more about why he opposed Omni-Man & the Viltrumite Empire since he knows most Marks teamed up with them. If Levy had discovered why our Mark was unique in wanting to protect the Earth he could find a way to stop the Viltrumite Empire here.

Yeah, Anissa wasn't talking about Kregg, but a Viltrumite who is far more ruthless, powerful, and sadistic than Kregg and Anissa combined and who can stand on the same level as Nolan.

I'm so glad Amber is finally over but it was good they portrayed the whole relationship. It definitely seems like in the show, Mark and Eve are way suited for each other. Anissa is my favorite character right now just because she's the most reasonable one we've seen and she's a whole muscle mommy vibe. I stay away from spoilers and comic related stuff but I'm braced for her next appearance to be much less pleasant. Allen's power level is finally shown! Can't wait to see what he does inside Kreeg's ship.

I don't think Amber and Mark's breakup was "dramatic." They're in love. They do not want to break up, but know they need to, that it's inevitable. It's sad. Are they not allowed to be justifiably upset and sad? I liked them a lot, but obviously, Mark and Eve will get together, even though I personally don't really see the chemistry between the two that much, other than as really good friends. I didn't see the chemistry between Mark and Amber in season one all that much either until their relationship started to blossom, so maybe we'll see the same thing when Mark and Eve get together.

I've read the entire comic run; I won't spoiler anything but I will say: I'm pretty sure Nolan is THE Viltrumite. He would definitely take Anissa, no problem. It's possible she's faster while still not being his equal, I suppose... the first comment I see makes essentially the same point, that she *might* be faster. Honestly though? Old dude said "she might be" and I think he's just wrong; I think he never saw Nolan's fastest. AND I'm not sure she's even stronger than chick with the braid. I'm not sure Old Dude was right that Mark had only an 18% chance against her. I'd guess less than 50%, for sure, but it may well be much closer than 18%. We really can't gauge anybody's power level based on how they fight Mark; Mark is ALWAYS in a state of holding back. Against braid chick, he was getting his ass handed to him until his dad implored him to fight to win... and he *finally* did, and started winning... then stayed the killing blow and lost. He was, again, holding back in a big way against Anissa too. He's constantly fighting to not lose. ALSO he's always 1 - screaming 2 or 3 seconds before he punches 2 - cocking back AS FAR AS POSSIBLE before punching so that his punches are telegraphed and slow 3 - trying to hit the head, so that the slightest dodge can avoid his blow - pretty easy because of (2) - instead of aiming center mass. Nolan fucked up, man; he should've had Mark enrolled in some martial arts classes pre-powers (perhaps Capoeira?) so that he'd now be able to fight AND be super strong and fast. Really dropped the ball there, Nolan.

I gotta say, I really enjoyed Anissa's introduction into the Amazon Prime series, though I'm not really looking for "that" particular moment between her & Mark being adapted. Also, I was surprised that she was remodeled a bit in the show that she resembles Sasha Calle's Supergirl.

Hey Meesh and Dee "Happy Wednesday." I hope you two day is going well. This was a great episode. I agree with Principal Winslow that Mark needs to make a decision. Man, I felt bad for both Donald and Rick. The scene where Donald was able to tslk Rick into not taking his life was a powerful moment as well a great growth for Donald that he finally accepted himself as his numerous times of dying is to try to make the world a better place. Some parts of hope ot work with Mark and Amber. But I have a bad feeling. Until Anissa shows up with her hand over the back of Amber neck. Cecil keeps Sinclair as one of his workers is messed up. Seeing Mark getting destroyed by Annisa brought back last season finale with his father. I felt bad for both Mark and Amber breaking up. But I feel it for the best. And now Angstrom after his mother and father like damn Mark, can't catch a break. But anyway I hope you two have a wonderful day. Stay safe, take care and stay amazing.

I don't think Nolan is weaker than Anissa I just think she is less sentimental toward mark, but she is stronger than Lucan Vidar and the other chick. Because Nolan is an Elite like anissa and they saw what mark could "potentially" do to an average viltrimate, and it seems like he's gotten stronger since that fight so they would try to send someone who could handle him seeing nolans State

She isnt stronger than nolan....its more like she was actually beating mark from the very beginning unlike nola who started actually thrashing mark very late in their fight !

Anissa is so cool

I know a lot of people don't really like the Mark Amber stuff and I can agree, but I think there's a lot more to it than just teenage dating drama. Part of people not liking it is because of how Amber was in Season 1, and if she was better, I think people would have been more okay with how things fallout here. But it's good growth for Mark because it's realizing what you need to do if you love someone, and part of it is being okay with letting them go. Also I appreciate the realism aspect because if I was Amber you bet I'd be out. I don't want my neck snapped randomly, and also being paranoid now about myself on top of worrying about my other. That reality doesn't set in until you've been in that danger I think, and now that Amber was, she understands how crazy shit really is.
