Mark could have put up a fight and maybe even beaten her off but he was emotionally spent and completely exhausted when she caught him that day. That fucked with his mind, the fact that he didn’t fight her more which is what a lot of assault survivors worry about. Even now he he’s i states to fight her because she took all control from him, made him feel like a “thing” more than a person, just a tool for her to get what she wanted. That’s why he hesitates when she says she enjoys it. From a third person perspective, you’d think “oh really? what if i just started beating the fuck out of you right now, no strings attached and nothing held back” but that’s not how you’d feel if you were in his place. Its awful and so fucking disturbing. Especially when she grabs him down there and tells him she doesn’t think he doesn’t want it, only because he had an erection. She’s evil. I think it was a perfect way to show us just how demented Viltrumites were. Their conquests weren’t just about murdering and slaughtering millions, they probably used sexual assault as a weapon of war too, like Nolan says later on when he finds out.
@@Greg12839 That's flat out wrong. When Mark was letting out all of his emotions on Eve, he said that he could have fought back harder, but he didn't. He partially believed that a part of him wanted it, and let it happen. Which is why he feels so guilty of it whenever he is around Eve and she tries getting intimate with him.
I feel bad for her kid for having such a shit mom and ruining his life by proxy. The one page that gets is so gut wrenchingly horrible and mark is basically a saint.

However, rape is a much rarer topic that can also be much closer to home than murder and is generally seen as more "vile". It goes without saying that rape victims are more likely to watch the show than murder victims.

@@SantosuBR even some of the fights in season 1 was very diluted compared to the comics. So most likely the up coming fights won’t have the level of blood of comics, so a grape scene def won’t happen and it’s already confirmed that it won’t.

It must’ve been a traumatizing day, but even more traumatic choosing between carrying that mental/emotional scar and taking it to the grave, or opening up about it to his dad and risking Anissa’s life. Sure, rape is terrible and nobody should go through it but it should never be met with death.

Sharing trauma helps but it's not always necessary. Everyone deals with horrible events in their own way. On their own time, you can't force people to open up. Especially when the don't want to. It may help them it may not. People bury their own experiences for a reason, so they don't have to relive them.
