The way it stalks towards the herd, roars to flush them out then attacks is so amazing. In comparison, prey monsters in rise will simply stand around waiting for something to come kill them.
The amount of detail in world is honestly amazing, especially the different ways prey reacts to predators. Aptonoth attempt to intimidate and then flee with an “every man for himself” mentality, Kestodon will run and then intimidate/fight, Apceros will make a triangle to defend eachother’s heads with their tail clubs, Raphinos flock together to make it tough to pick out a target, Gastodon go on the attack, and Popo will run and then defend. Honestly really interesting how different they are
I really liked this aspect of World, giving us a living world (although it has its flaws) that could be upgraded to the max in the next game, really wished Rise had this as well but I will have to wait till the next one
Something I noticed is how where it eats and drinks regularly is out in the open, so while it’s sustaining itself it looks around for some time. It might be the apex predator in the dense undergrowth, but it’s vulnerable to Rathalos out in the open
