My statements claiming the Kirovets K7Ms turning radius being “super wide” is a lil bit exaggerated since they made its Diff Lock Switchable. Since then it’s had a much better turning radius, but the Futom is still superior with the added bonus of not having articulated steering. Also forgive the lack of farming footage. I felt farming was a very small part of the game aside from season 8 so I wanted to show more off-roading.
Nice Review as always, Thanks for acknowleging Ankata, A lot of people judge Ankatra from that first farming field of season 14 but that field is like only 1 case in game and I think its better than kirovets for farming. Futom is best for farming for sure, It turns very quick & Its possible to do all 3 stages of farming in 1 tank.
Hey thank you!! I agree. I think pending field conditons it is viable in all those stages of farming. If you farm multiple times on a field like in Season 8 then it might see some performance hits. I really like that little tractor
I like the Futom quite a lot. Even did some logging with it while using the single tyres. Which went pretty well. I feel that if you want to use it outside of farming a case can be made for the single tyres, especially since it has issues driving all tyres.
Glad to hear this! I was thinking the same, but agonizing over the decision since I'm playing HM and S14 logging area is a pretty long trip from the garage haha. Gonna give it a try with single tires.
Ya, I thought about it, but I think players get enough farm from play. I also completed the farming portion prior to recording footage for this video. My prior streams are loaded with more talk and testing on the fields with these machines if you're interested
I find the Ankatra is a great option for dealing with small logs, even just as a log crane as it's stable, capable which makes it good for loading them. The futom isn't bad for logging either though i tend to just use it as a recovery vehicle outside of farming same as the K-7M
I actually did season 8 with these two new tractors because i hated the Kirovets' turning radius so much that I skipped S 8 completely. Now that I have finished it just yesterday (and finally loved it, thank god), your review acknowledges my impressions. Combine these two with the 'Atom' and the Step 310E, and you won't need any other trucks, ever. But how do I activate all wheel steering for the Futom? Mine only ever turned the front wheels! Btw: the two new logging trailers are great, too. Finally a trailer for short logs! About time, right!?
I like using the Futom, K-700 & K7M. Tried the Ankatra on a couple of fields. It got stuck on the muddy one, on another field it was alright but I prefer the big tractors. Wish they all had Always-On diff lock though. Switchable AWD is fine. But having to switch diff on/off none stop has made farming a lot more annoying then it was in Season 8.
I think these big tractors are better without always-on diff lock it can help with their annoying turning, that's probabbly the reason devs changed them to switchable diff locks.
@@NProvince You do know why because people have told you multiple times you just don't want to accept that for some reason. There has been a post on reddit before the season 14 pts comparing the turning radius between k7m with always on diff and a k7m with a switchable diff and the difference was significant.
@@jaroslavjancik349 So heres the thing, being told about something doesn't automatically make me believe it. Im not in denial here lol. Yes, the K7M is indeed significantly better at turning. I have tested this. Its quite eye opening, but the fact remains that the Futom still turns tighter from my tests and it doesnt have to deal with Articulation.
@@NProvince Then just say they did it to improve the turning but you don't agree with the change because it negatively impacts the performance of the vehicles instead of acting oblivious. You being told that heavy tires improve pulling power or that downgrading tires helps with axle lock ups is fine but for some reason now the kirovets changes are just unexplainable assumptions.
I think i heard you mention a new mic on stream a while back, if so it sounds great! If not, whatever yoh did with the audio in this one was really nice
9:57 Tbf the K-7M’s turn radius now is better now than it was before S14 since its diff lock is now on a toggle. It’s gone from having a turning circle the size of a small village to the size of… an even smaller village now. Still not amazing, but at least it’s reasonably maneuverable now even with the duallies
Ya its turning radius has been buffed quite a bit. I've done some testing and its much better. I just really dislike articulation steering on some vehicles so the driving experience of the futom is much better i think
I am not positive but I think the Futom turns better with regular tires instead of the dual tires (I switched off the dual tires for regular singles to make it easier to get through more direct paths to the farms)
Thry are good, they work for tractors, they farm well. I honestly not hatded farming...which is nice. Im just haply i have a tractor that not turn like im operating a oil tanker.
Instead of some more shitty tractors and farming, I wish we had a nice Tigercat skidder and new logging mechanics overhaul such as being able to carry 2 stacks per load. Nobody asked for farming, nobody wants it, yet devs still do it. Must be a fetish for them..
