At 1:10 with your red in hot and black in ground it shows 33.9 volts because your unit is open ground - not plugged into a wall outlet. If you plug in your unit the multimeter will show 120 volts. At 1:30 when connecting neutral and ground it shows 100 volts because it is not grounded - plugged into a wall outlet. If you plug in your unit it will show about 1 volt. Testing with a circuit tester confirms the open ground when not plugged into a wall outlet. This is how my replacement operates and is normal, in my opinion. I really like the 767. It is modern, quiet, and stores a lot of energy.
@@TesSheen sheen. When you say everything is working properly. Are you referring to the voltage now?Looks different when I’m plugged from the wall? Or is it that anything with the compressor is not working properly. Also want to verify what software you upgraded to. My Anker app says I am at the latest version at 1.1.7? Thanks.
@@miker8619 yea, everything seems to be correct now, they replaced my unit and pushed firmware 1.2.2 to me. Not sure why they aren't pushing the new firmware to everyone yet. They asked for my serial number and account name from the app to push the update to me. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8VzqBVtWVAM.html
@@TesSheen So I received an email from Anker. They said my 767 is working as it should! I just tested mine with a dehumidifier. Had the same results as you did. Running perfectly on shore power. When running just off the 767. The compressor started rattling and running rough with the displayed wattage being erratic. I sent them a follow up email stating my issue and also mentioned others experienced the same issue that was corrected with updated software.
@@miker8619 dont know what the deal is with not releasing 1.2.2 firmware to everyone yet. Some others have said they did get the update, but seems like it's not available to everyone.
I had the original issue of my circuit tester showing a hot neutral when plugged into A/C and an open ground when not plugged in. The open ground is to be expected as the unit is literally not connected to anything that would ground it. I sent the unit back and I received a new unit yesterday. Now the circuit tester show correct with the unit plugged into the wall outlet and open ground when it is not plugged in, so the problem has been corrected and my unit is working normally.
Your neutral is probably floating and picking up any electrostatic and magnetic fields from both inside and outside the housing. That is called unbonded. As with a generator, the user should tie the 767 ground to something that is well grounded and tie the neutral to that. ground in only one place (to avoid having stray neutral currents running on that ground). For a visual on this, turn on an oscilloscope and grab the probe, You will see a big sixty hertz signwave on the screen. If you now grab the ground for that probe with your other hand, you will see that sign wave go away.
They have sent me a return label for a full refund , before the update was installed , but I’m gonna keep the unit now ! I can deal with the open ground !
So much potential but they've blown it with this wiring issue. I won't spend $2000 so I can go back and forth with Anker on the wiring. You're basically buying $2000 worth of stress and headaches. We can all get plenty of free stress and headaches just trying to make ends meet in 2023. Hard pass for me.
