I like ANKER, and I will say this, my first portable cellphone charger was an ( ANKER 2nd Gen Astro E3Ultra compact) ..I must have bought about 6 of them black in 2015 for the household.
Gavin, thank you for this fantastic and thorough video. I greatly appreciate your detailed unboxing. For me the 30 amp receptacle is a major selling point along with the other features, especially the wheels and the handle.
I've been wanting to get one of these for awhile but the solar charging requirements are very weird compared to others. 1000 watts at 60 volts/20 amps. To my knowledge, even Anker doesn't make panels capable of coming close to maxing out the 1000 watt charging input. So while it comes with an adapter to connect 5 solar panels, there are no panels capable of being connected to this adapter that can charge this unit at 1000 watts.
Is it bonded neutral? I was surprised to see that you didn't use a bonding plug. unless you bypassed any electrical surge protections that would typically complain with a floating neutral. Nice vid and review..
I still dont get spending 1300 plus on something that i maybe able to get 3hrs of use out of...if i turn on the rt appliences! Plus, theres add'l cost for soft start kits etc.. Someone needs to say these units are not there yet..
As battery technology keeps improving units are getting better, but you’re right they’re not there yet. This weekend I was able to stop and rest in a parking lot for a few hours, I was able to run my AC use my microwave keep my refrigerator running without turning on the generator.
@@GeneratorReviews Yes, and I definitely understands this, but a lot of people are looking for back up power to cover a period of a few days. Maybe after a storm, and 3 hrs may not help much.
I use my 767 with my Rinnai propane furnace and so far its working out great .I can start it at 12 pm and shut it down 3 pm the following day to recharge for an hour and still have power left over. When the summer arrives I might plug my fridge in to see how long it runs before I need a charge.@@recardosands9948
