My first test of a 240 volt output portable power station. I do a whole house backup to see how long this can power my essential electric needs. Then, it's off to test simultaneous power tool usage. Why 50amp RVs fair better than 30amp. 3 Good reasons to use a power transfer switch. With great power comes great responsibility.

Thank. you for the video - the 3800 knows that the RV is 120v and auto switches from 240 to 120 and Vice versa automatically?

No, you would use a 50amp to 30 plug similar if a RV park only had a 50 amp connection on the pedestal.

I have a food trailer and was thinking of switching to one of these units. I use about 2300w i believe, with an air conditioner (1500w) and 2 freezers (200w per) that run constantly. I currently use a 9000w predator generator that usually gets me about 4 to 5 hours of run time per tank. In your opinion, do you believe that this can be a good replacement?

Manual says it can take a 2400 watt solar charge but........V x amps= watts 32 x 10=320watts..ch1 60x25= 1500watts.ch2 Total= 1820 watts Correct? So where are they getting that out can charge at 2400 watts

You misunderstand. Either of the XT60 input can take up to 60V and 25A, BUT only for a combination of these 2 max parameters that would top out at 1200W per input. So if you can deliver 60V, then it would only accept 20A because its max input is 1200W. Or if you can deliver 48V, then it would accept up to 25A for a total max input of 1200W. Even if you can deliver at both 60V and 25A, it would only accept 20A, so your solar panel would be delivering 20A out of that 60V only. This applies to both input. If your solar delivers less than 32 volts to either of the inputs, then the max current it can accept is 10A. It's not 1 input for the low side or 1 input for the high side. It's either input for either low or high wattage depending on the voltage that goes into each input.

A giant Chinese battery company gives away a few hundred free generators to good old fashioned American looking people. Clever. yeah these things are cool, especially the Ecoflow Ultra, but in reality you need a gas, diesel, or propane generator for any long term needs...more than a day a two. Get a duel fuel, run it on propane, and you won't have the problem of gas sitting for a long time. Imagine, you buy a predator, Westinghouse, or champion 12500 duel fuel for 1500 max. Done. These power stations are just a shiny object. Good for Van Life, I own two Ecoflows, but they are not serious for home backup.

The 50 amp outlet only has 30 amp unless it’s in EV charging mode? Im holding off until it has pass through charging and 90 degrees cables.

Kind of surprising that there's no 30A RV plug for this thing to pull a full 3600 watts. Seems like that should have been a no-brainer. I guess they were more focused on home backup.
