I actually prefer his product choices as they are ones most of consumers would actually buy. I do enjoy watching some review videos of $100 + speakers, However I would most likely not be buying a speaker in that price range.
Bob A Not necesarily. Something cheap can be of good value. cheap /tʃiːp/ adjective 1. low in price, especially in relation to similar items or services.
I wish other reviewers would take note how you review products. This is one of the best reviews I've watch so far of any product! Wish you'd also review Oontz Angle 3 or Anker Soundcore Mini 2. 🤣 I really like how you did this review! 🥰
Great review! Seems it does need an update as I have had contact with the Anker German distributor via Amazon and the newer models of the Soundcore 2 SKU A3105013 and newer have upgraded IPX rating to 7 and also bluetooth 5.0 supporting wireless stereo pairing, making this speaker even more attractive. I am planning to purchase 2 and will do a short review when I have them at home. Thanks anyway for all your great reviews, keep them comming!
I feel a bit stupid asking this question - does it have a USB In? I just ordered two of them yesterday, but only today did I think"Hmm.... wander if I can shove a USB stick on it?" So... I'll have to load up my phone, then p[air it and thats how it works? I would say "Just asking for a friend" but clearly I am clueless...
Yes you should. I’d love to watch a review. I recently bought my son the jbl xtreme Bluetooth speaker and it sounds amazing. The bass on it drives me insane though as he has it way too loud. May take it off him and use it myself. 😂.
You could test the sound with music with some real instruments and real harmonics and etc haha, but otherwise amazing, professional, and concise review!
I use different tracks for all my speaker reviews - you could take a look at my review of the Element T2 Plus - I compare it to the Soundcore 2 with another music track: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KWdKZ43HhDM.html
I'm looking for a Bluetooth speaker for my android phone that will make a loud ring when my phone rings. I need it to be able to work through a wall and maybe 30 feet. Will this work? And what is the best charger to use? Can I just leave it on charge? Please answer questions. I am returning an Altec Hydrajolt and the volumn is not loud enough
Ideal for listening to audio books, e.g. Audible books from Amazon. I tested this Anker 'Soundcore 2' against the more expensive 'upgraded Soundcore Boost' and found this cheaper speaker gave more pleasant voice sounds, while the upgraded Boost version was better for music (especially singing voices). It's strange that narration voices sounded much better on this Soundcore 2, while the Boost was better able to handle top-level professional Opera singers, like Pavarotti. As my interest was for audio book narration, then the 24 hours battery life and affordable price of the Soundcore 2 made this my audio book speaker of choice. ANDROID can display BATTERY CHARGE if you go into Bluetooth settings for this pairing and select BOTH "calls" and "audio". It requires "calls" to be selected for battery charge %age to be displayed.
Many thanks for a very helpful review. How long does the speaker stay on before standby? This could be an issue for us in our classrooms. Many thanks in advance.
Some Man As I Got A New Pair Of Bluetooth Sound Speakers With Load's Of In/Out/B-Tooth Ect & just Great Review On These Now Sound Bars To Speakers or any iphone on 13.7 or 14,Thank You Kindly SIR ....10/10 ALL THE WAY + SUB
As I just asked a cpuople o questions,I didn't ask if this speaker wasn't what I was looking for(A loud speaker for my hard of hearing my phone in another room) Can you give me a reasonable priced alternative just to hear my ring tone of phone with a little bit of range. Thanks.
Maybe one of the bigger speakers I've reviewed - but as I said in previous comment - these battery speakers aren't really intended to be plugged in permanently.
I just bought my anker soundcore 2 about a month ago and am extremely pleased. Ok, you said that it doesn't show the battery level indicator on the paired device but that is actually one of my favorite features. It's always there, on my LG Stylo 4. Spot on review and I even learned a thing or two
You can see the %age battery charge if connected to an Android smartphone. However, you must be connected for "calls" as well as "audio" in the Bluetooth settings. Unless you permit the speaker to handle phone calls, you won't see the battery level %age.
After buying the device, and using my Note 8, I've found adjusting the volume of the speaker using my phone wasn't an issue at all. I DID have one issue however; it is NOT compatible with Alexa (I had paired it with the Alexa Echo Input), as it has a built-in sleep mode. The latter turns off the speaker if not being used for the past 30 minutes. This feature CAN NOT be turned off. So in order to use Alexa after the speaker had turned off, you have to manually turn it on again (which basically defeats the purpose of the always-on voice commands of Alexa). Hope this helps.
Haha, Wish I had read this yesterday. I too have a Note 8 and an Echo Input, my Anker Soundcore will be arriving tomorrow. Oh well, both the speaker and Echo were only $20 so I guess I can't really complain about having to manually restart / turn on the speaker after it shuts off.
Just bought it an the sound is absolutely garbage. Now in process of sending it back .it even says its on 10%its been on charge for 5 hours with the cable given. Have tried ot with nintendo switch.tablet s5. An s21. All 3 with hardly no sound its muzzle outs..very disappointed
I'm watching your review and when you said Alexa pair my Alexa replied onward trying to figure out how to get my new speaker set up by the way your review is very good
Extremely poor battery life, just after a year and a half of ownership battery only lasts about 5hrs on a full charge. Shame really as I am happy with its performance.
July 23, 2022. My take on the Anker SoundCore 2 at a glance. Maybe as well you could input some on my views or question. Brought this few days ago and I got in the mail today. I agree with alot you state in video. I like the weight and how it is made. Vs todays stuff that is cheap and junk. Looks are nice and the feel. Working with a Samsung Galaxy S9 Android. Pairing was fast and simple. Test only at this time for RU-vid music audio. For bass I looked at a few Reggae songs. I found the bass to be full and you can tell alot it is there. Max volume had no distort and was still clear. Next was some rock. I see the bass drops and not there. I will note- alot comes into play on this. The song, the quality bit rate of such and so on. I do know RU-vid unpaid compresses stuff down in quality some. I will test more later on some Flac files else place when I get time. Overall everything was pretty good. My problem is this- the volume. 1. I know each output device differs in output volume gain. 2. What song and how it is mastered. I think in my case it is most to do with the phone. The Samsung Galaxy 9 does not have much volume at max let alone else. It is loud sorta but.... I was not impressed by the volume and or loudness of this speaker. Again- though I think alot is my phone as issue. I know the speaker can do more before distort or all else and still output a good quality. I am aware there are apps on Google play for volume and eq boost. Question is which one is pretty good vs wasteful time getting just so they can get my info and I uninstall? You think a volume boost app will help? Next- I did not know such has a phone mic and can do all that. I am curious as with the mic quality and sound. I will have to test... Meaning is there the famous delay when talking to someone, the tin junk sound etc? Overall for the price it is worth. It offers a good few things and is built nice. Sound quality is pretty good. I agree it is a BIG step up from a phone speaker outputting whatever.... Last last- You talk about you can't pair another one of these ( Stereo 2 speakers. ). That sucks. Side note- the + and - volume does work when you select it. It will move it up or down on the phone as well the box. Least it does for me on YT. USA- 20 bucks shipped for mine 2022.
I pay quite a lot of money for royalty free music - and it is still hard to find really good music to demonstrate these speakers with! But testing the speakers, I play a wide range of music to really hear they sound.
I've had mine nearly a year and think it's crap. The smaller JBL Go 1 gives it a run for it's money and was £10+ cheaper. The Anker 2 is ok for RU-vid but is terrible up loud. If you listen to hip hop it's real bad.
5K (INR) for this speaker is a waste of money. Why? Because after almost 11 months of use (bought this on 02/10/2019), after watching the "unbox therapy video on Anker Soundcore 2 " review online. However, I still went ahead and purchased this. This product's cost is way too high compared to other similar products offered by different brands. Now, within 11 months only, the speaker is producing distorted sounds. I complained to Anker regarding the same since it's still in warranty, but they would not return or repair the product saying - "If the issue persists, we regret that we are not able to help you walk into our 18-months warranty process. Because I've noticed that you purchased this order from ATM RETAIL, and they are responsible for the warranty. We don't process the warranty from purchases made through our resellers because we don't have their order details in our system." Really? I am disappointed and did not expect this was coming from a company like ANKER. My bad. I should never go for this product, and neither should anyone else. It's better to choose a good brand with better customer values (Philips, Sony, Bose, JBL, etc.). @unboxtherapy - I am really disappointed and should have never trusted you guys.
I was thinking about getting another one because not only does my phone have dual Bluetooth abilities but I tried it with 2 different Bluetooth speakers and it played off sync. Although, I thought but I could still make it work because it has a headphone Jack in which I could go headphone Jack to the other speaker. Than I could just connect to the 1 Bluetooth speaker in the 2nd speaker would also play if I did headphone Jack the headphone Jack on the to sound core speakers, is this correct? Could I use a headphone to headphone jack to connect 2 Bluetooth speakers together, and then they will play at the same time for good outdoor surround sound/louder sound?
Not sure I understand your question. The newer version can create a stereo pair with a second speaker. That's the only way you can get synced audio from two speakers that I'm aware of.
I've got the JBL and the Anker 2. I wish I just bought a second Anker 2. Although the JBL sounds a little better, and I mean a little, you pay a lot to get that little.
Good review, that included all functions of buttons on speaker interface, where all other reviews I watched conned that it was unable to skip tracks. Looking forward to mine arriving. Cheers 😁👍👍
does this support low frequency audio like neighbour stomping noise? because I have to bring my speaker up to pair it with my phone and show my upstairs neighbour how loud their stomping noises are because they kept believing that they are not making any noise at all
I have this speaker and it’s pretty great! I got it for about 20ish $. Love it. The volume on my tablet started going quiet so I figured it’d be cheaper to get a external speaker. Love it. Got a blue one. I love the feel of it. Just overall good speaker.
Lia Kim pretty great! I use it everyday because my iPad mini has had volume issues. Always dependable and the distance is pretty good. Like I can walk across the house w/o my tablet with the speaker and it still works. And the battery lasts forever at least mine does. At least a couple days and I use it a lot.
i connected this Bt speakers to my laptop through a BT flash drive but unfortunately when ever i play my second video or audio , the speaker gets disconnected and i have to connect again from my laptop. still figuring out what the issue could be?? but it works fine with my i phone.
@@TheTechnologyMan whenever I connect the anker speaker to my laptop via bt flash drive , the first audio or video works fine but when I play the next or open a new song ,the bt speaker gets disconnected and I have to connect it again to play the song.
Sounds like an issue with the driver for your Bluetooth dongle to me. I'd contact the manufacturer or perhaps try the dongle on another computer if possible ...
January 2021: I've just received my ANKER SoundCore 2 & I can confirm that the volume control on the SC2 is controlling my Samsung Galaxy S8 Android cell phone levels as it does with iPhones. But with my Toshiba Tecra A50 it's weird, for the SoundCore 2 controls the sound level on my Toshiba but the Toshiba sound level can't control the sound level of the SoundCore 2, only on & off! Overall, I'm very happy with its sound quality, much much better than my Logitech tablet speaker.
Hi would like to ask AnkerSoundcore 2,Sony xb12 and Tribit XSoundGo which one u prefer? this speaker is almost the same price in my country Malaysia.. i am also looking clearer speaker for my jazz listening or relaxation time...
Hi! I have this speaker over a year now. The sound is great but I have a problem and can't find the solution. I even contacted Anker but their answer seems strange to me. Whenever I listen to Spotify or a RU-vid video the connection is great. If I'm listening to a Whatsapp Voice Message or an Audio recording from the built in Recorder of the phone, the sound suddenly stops and stars again 6/7 seconds after. It's kind of random. Anker's response was: " we sore sorry that the speaker is not compatible with some Apps, when we try to use the speaker with some Apps, the speaker is not the default output device of these Apps, so there will be some delay. Please try to select the speaker as the output device of the App through the configuration of the App if it has the option in the Setting of the App." Does anyone have the same problem? Thank you
I do mention it has two drivers - making it a stereo speaker (you'd have to pretty close to hear any separation!) But if you mean it can be paired with another Soundcore 2 speaker to create a wireless stereo pair - this wasn't an option on the model I reviewed. They've added that feature more recently.
@@TheTechnologyMan here is what I think needed to be emphasized. sometimes when music is recorded in stereo, which is most of the time, there are things that are pan the far right or far left in the stereo field and they will not be heard at all in a mono speaker system. This means that there will be parts of music inaudible to The Listener through a mono speaker. The great thing about a stereo speaker system, even if the speakers are very close to one another, is that you will at least hear all of the instrumentation. Many of these Bluetooth speakers are mono and therefore people are missing out on what is happening inside the music. For 25 bucks that will not happen with this little inexpensive speaker and that is a huge selling point.
I have it! anker soundcore2. Great sound! I can distinguish the middle boom bass and the crisp sound of 2 speakers on both sides. Overall, i have a great experience in listening music with this anker soundcore2!
I'll probably find the answer before it gets answered here but.. Have just bought one and I guess it must be fully charged but plugged the usb in anyway. The charging light is red, I always thought red would denote it needed charging and it would either be green or blue when fully charged. 🤔
The battery would always need topping up - so that's normal! It's not good practice to ship a Lithium battery fully charged - and even if they did it'd lose some charge in transit.
Test it in water it leak through, does n;t mean defect it isn't air tight seal. becareful not to fully submerge yours Yes open it I see water did go on the port, so clean and dry no woryes
i was watching this on my (white) noisy mifa a10's and i got the feeling that the soundocre2 sounded clearer than the jbl. maybe the jbl has too much bass
@@TheTechnologyMan im a fan of detail in songs, do these speakers bring out some sub bass? or is it possible to point out every instrument in a song or are they alöl mushed together
