I think you just scratch the surface with all of your talking, no actual test performed, please learn from charger lab or Allthingsoneplace, they're pretty good at charger analysis
The pain islatest pro model iphones supports upto 20 watts of fast charging that too upto 80% and then gets into tricke charging. So whatever adapter ppl use it will take 1.5 hrs to 2 hrs to get fully charge.
: There's another company that looks similar to these devices also called Baseus. (I have the Baseus 65w) Are all of these devices the same internally they just have a different exterior? Built-in the same factory just different companies outer shell and name.
I thought this would be a professional review showing it hooked up to a multimeter showing the voltage and current. In the end is just another layman explaining to other laymen
Wish you would have commented on each devices specific voltages offered. I have done some digging into trigger boards and it turns out theses new multi-voltage chargers have a lot of unforeseen value. LTT did a video exploring a lot of redundant power supplies with huge bricks. Personally interested in the portable power bank potential the most.
Another thing to add, maybe: The Anker doesn't have a European market right now. The UGreen does. The connector is slightly different for us Europeans.
They do have one for the european market, since many years already. Maybe not this particular model at the time of the comment, but now it is available!
Baseus is a Chinese brand but Satachi is American. Satachi would be the highest end brand by the issue is that they don't sell many GAN chargers and so like Apple, most of their chargers are massive
No brain Anker if neglect price. Based my own experience, Anker is a solid brand. The founder Steven YANG was a graduate of Peking University and Southwest Minnesota State University. He had worked in Google before he found Anker.
But anker charger has specific model of unit compatible to turn the super charge and quick charge in the other unit brand😅unlike the ugreen all aspects of the unit is unique to charge the other brand unit. Ugreen for me is the best the price is very low than the anker is very high cost.
This is what i am looking for. I am an Anker and Aukey user! Im soooo skeptical with this UGREEN! 😅 but il watch this video and give a separate comment
@@WedhaWardhana just buy Anker a1637 bro, the fusion 3 in 1 charger/ powerbank with wire. Im eyeing it now. But il choose between what you want. Il go for Anker
got the anker a few days ago and one thing to note to those who are in a tropical climate. read the manual and its operating temperature is 25C° ambient it bothered me why it is being sold in a tropical country where typical ambient temp is above 25C° and not everyone has their aircon on or have an aircon . maybe its a problem with the Gan tech
@xblue4645 got this unit no problem so far, i use it only at night to charge my phone using wireless charging and cable charging this summer. it can charge my low wattage laptop as well if supported.
Nice review. I love the layout of these chargers with 2 USB-C and 1 oldschool USB in the same charger. I've got tons of old cables that I don't wanna have to replace. Good to Anker and Ugreen are roughly equal so I can buy whichever one is on sale at the moment.
I initially bought the Ugreen Nexode 65W charger, but I immediately sent it back after finding out that it doesn't support super fast charging 2.0 for Samsung phones. I now have the Anker GaN Prime 100W charger, and despite costing more than double, it's a much better product.
Hi! I bought my UGREEN 65w GAN power adapter and I have got to agree that it does fit loosely in the wall socket. Wonder if there’s a remedy to the issue. Thankyou for the comparison 👍🏼
@@rianjerome I usually charge my macbook pro or the ipad pro with it. Lately the charging speed on the ipad seems to be a lot slower. But, I have no thermal issues with either the devices or the charger itself.
The Anker 735 Ganprime, not the one shown in this video is likely what you are comparing it to, it can charge your devices faster if you are splitting it or have a Samsung phone capable of 45w
You should've compared the temperature they bring to the device, since that is where the real investment of buying a charger goes in. Of course charger gets hot or warm, but who does produce less heat, Since less heat on a lithium ion or polymer batteries actually potentially slow the deterioration of the battery. I hope this will be included on your next video since this information actually what really matters when it comes to the real convenience of buying a charger. Thank you mate
This is the task of your device. If your device allows charging with 65W it also should be able to handle the temperature. The heat gets produced by the device when charging not the power supply. For example new smartphones with high input wattage sometimes even have 2 battery’s so they don’t produce that much heat.
How much charge your device will accept is down to the device, not the charger. 65w is the maximum output of these two chargers. Not all devices can accept 65w
The newer Anker 65w will run hotter, but that is because it no longer does preset splitting instead it can adapt the power per port resulting in faster charge times
That has nothing to do with the charger. A charger can get very hot but the device itself can stay cool. It's all to do with how well the phone maker made their phone to dissipate heat as all chargers that produce the same wattage output will affect the phone the same way. How hot the chargers themselves get is another thing altogether and that can be comparable
I prefer UGreen over Anker. UGreen is way more premium and efficient, can’t say that about Anker products. I’m using both 65W & 100W Ugreen chargers❤❤❤
It's not though because Anker applies for proper safety certification, UGREEN applies for no certification so the safety of their chargers are not independently certified. It's why Apple sells Anker chargers in their store but never UGREEN
@@loughrey101Yeah the one with greater market availability usually has to put up with more stringent safety requirements to put up with the various regulations. That said, those certifications can cost money that goes into the price of the device, perhaps hedging against the ability of the manufacturer to supply more premium quality parts for the same price point. But then scale possibly nullifies that price component. So really one has to take apart the device and weigh out component value and judge from there.
Hey, I just wanted to know do safety listing matter to you? I like ugreen products but a lot of them aren’t safety listed. I would like to know your thoughts and if that’s something you care about.
That's my issue with UGREEN, they have the most beautiful chargers but they fake their certifications whereas Anker chargers are independently certified so can be trusted more
@@StardustLegacyFighter why is it "much better" even when it has less ports and costs 10 more? I want to know because in my country both are at almost the same price.
They both will, ready any and every charger resulting in power moving creates loss of electricity and therefore heat, the Anker will make your battery hotter if you are splitting it or if you are a 45w Samsung capable user as it can distribute power in a new method. Instead of set splits like 20-45 and everything else it can adapt and charge your devices faster.
If need to have 65w out of 2 ports, it is already better. If only need the 1 port for 65w, all are same. Pointles that these multiport chargers even exist when they cannot even output more watts when multiple devices are connected. Anker did best with the prime by achieving what the others failed to do.
One thing consumers must be aware of is that some phone brands seem to limit their fastest charging mode to 1st party chargers. I own the Ugreen 65W charger and a Xiaomi Poco X3 which ships with a 3A cable. If I plug it into my Ugreen 65 charger I get "quick charge". Which is kinda fast. But if I use their included 33W charger I get "Mi Turbo Charge" which is significantly faster. I haven't looked into it but I cannot seem to get that mode with any other charger than their own. (Which is sad cause it's only 33W, and twice as large as Anker or Ugreen, and only has one classic USB port)
have both UGreen and Anker chargers and both been great with my oldest 100W going 2 years and counting. Yes people have reviewed sometimes they fail and it could be a bad product but check cables also. I usually buy with Amazon so I get good service if needing a replacement or return. For me leaned towards anker because they haven't failed and i trust them and just recently wanted to give UGreen a try but I have had cables from them before but now trying the chargers
I'm pretty sure that these chargers come with a 2 year warranty, so instead of complaining about it here (which solves absolutely nothing), why don't you take it up with their customer service?
@@SydneyHustleDon't ever buy or return something just because someone has had a positive/negative experience with it, trust yourself to make your own informed decisions.
If what you are talking about this a USB c and USB a charger, just no for that price it isn't worth. Might as well get the Anker 735 Ganprime as that will be more efficient and compatible in size, faster in charge speed and comes with a stabilizer to hold it onto a wall
If they are thesame price, then definitely buy the Anker. Next should be Aukey then Ugreen, but only if both are 30% cheaper than the Anker. All have more or less similar power performance and safety in place but the Anker edges out in material and electronics quality especially the their USB A and C out /female plug. My Aukey eventually loses grip before dying (20 months) even if i pry the pins back (USB A) it keeps loosing grip with the cable. my ugreen died first eventhough it was the least used at 16months. It had loose components and was rattling inside when it is shaken after about a year. I think the newer ones are of higher quality than their 1st generation chargers tho. My QC 3.0 Anker which was the most used died about 3 years.
@@elyx05Anker cables are always the same price as UGREEN, sometimes cheaper. Their chargers are usually only slightly more expensive but worth it as Anker applies for international safety certification, UGREEN doesn't
On the heat difference when charging. Could it be that the Ugreen one is better at getting the heat from the components that makes it hotter, rather than more power going to waste as heat energy?
@@shadmankabir5916 lol wtf. That is simple physics...and yes, that is how electronics work. Heat is produced inside the product. Less effective components create more heat.
@@johanlahti84 my man I am quite literally an electrical engineer with specialization in electronics. While you are right that more efficient products are better at producing supplying more power while producing lesser heat, your original comment speaks about "getting heat from components". Your charger or whatever product does not collect heat from your phone or even the components inside of it.
@@shadmankabir5916 ofc it doesn't collect heat from the phone wtf are you on about. Heat sinks help cool the components. I was hinting at one of the chargers might have a better cooling solution, hence delivering said heat faster through the hull of the charger.
