I must say... WOW!!!! What a video intro!!! After viewing your entire review, went back to see it again. And... it impressed me MORE on review! That is like major studio production quality!! That MUST have taken you much effort, paired with your mad skillz. Top shelf, Vlad!! Appears to be an impressive, maybe, turnkey 3D printer setup for someone who does not "love" the learning experience that can present itself. You presented the printer well here. Man! That was an hour review! Anker was VERY fortunate that you reviewed, and so attractively, presented their product. But, hey, Anker seems to have done a pretty good job as well. Seems like a tightly coupled 3D printing package.

Got mine the other day, so your video was timed well……nice and clear tutorial. One thing I noticed that yours didn’t do was when I connected to the WiFi network it prompted me to update my firmware which I did…..now whenever the M5 pre-heats the extruded head rocks back and forth along the X-axis……before I did the update it was stationery. Any one else experience this? And oh yes I also have same problem with feeding in the filament……. Cheers

Thanks for this! Received my 3DP a week ago, but have only done single extruder prints with it so far (though it does seem to be noticeably better than the original 3D module). Was wondering how you prepare a model for 2-colour and this showed nicely how to load up two models and align them in Luban. Results looked disappointing, but did you use the Breakaway PLA for the white colour when it is formulated for use as support material? I've been disappointed by the reliability of the machine given the high cost, but fortunately support is good and they have sent me a replacement touch screen and a replacement controller quickly and without quibble.

Vlad- another great detailed video! Thank you for the time and effort that you put into your reviews. As far as the M5 I was truly impressed with the build quality and design through the first part of your video. Unfortunately things went downhill fast when you got to the printing. To put it simply the print quality is poor. The ringing at all speeds is unacceptable for a printer at the price they want for it. If my 2 Super Racers put out that kind of print quality I would get rid of them and take up a new hobby! Gerry

Thanks Vlad, but 10 years in the 3d printing world…..I recommend Prusa to newbies who aren’t engineers/makers…..perfect prints from day one on hundreds of experiences…..my recent addition of an Anycubic Kobra Max to my predominantly Prusa FDM/SLA farm, awaiting the Prusa XL( delayed by supply chain ), exemplified how far behind many printers are in firmware/tuning. I volunteer 15 hrs/wk helping people with non-working, mainly inexpensive printers……..never Prusa😎 Love Anker…..have dozens of their power banks in use for years.

Best looking bed slinger printer and some cool features but sub par prints at any speed. Too expensive for the quality of prints.
@PrintingPerspective
@PrintingPerspective Год назад
An $800 bed slinger with POM wheels like cheap Ender and so much ghosting? Resonance compensation would somewhat salvage it, but I doubt it has one. I think they are late to the 3d printing game with this one.
@ElecTrackProjects
@ElecTrackProjects Год назад
$800 with no enclosure or linear rails :/
@PixelatedFancyLads
@PixelatedFancyLads Год назад
Wheels are PTFE, for what it's worth - not POM. Definitely a poor value proposition at $800, especially against the $700 Bambu P1P. I backed it at $430 on Kickstarter and have been pleased with it at that price, but there have definitely been a lot of issues to work through that make me think it wasn't ready for primetime - especially not at the price they're asking. In its current state, it should cost $450-500. All that being said, once you make up for the factory's poor QC (adjust belts, properly tighten bed wheels, replace flimsy stainless steel hotend screws with 12.9 alloy steel ones, etc.) it prints magnificently. Not as fast as the P1P, but faster than its other non-Bambu contemporaries, all with easier assembly and operation. It would've been a massive hit... at $500... if Bambu didn't launch after them and completely blow up their spot lol
@PrintingPerspective
@PrintingPerspective Год назад
@@PixelatedFancyLads PTFE? So it is an even less rigid motion system. :) I don't understand how you can justify the $500 price point, though. The Sovol SV06 prints magnificently out of the box for $250 + it has a proper motion system with linear rods. Combine that with Klipper and you will be amazed at what results you can get. And comparing the P1P to Anker's 3D printer, I am sorry but it makes M5 look like it was made by armchair engineers, haha!

Too Pricey for my taste... it works out at £749 for the UK ordering from their web site since it is Not on Amazon UK. It is up there with the other super pricey 3 D Printers by Prusa. Only brought by users whom are well off. even Prusa Filaments are pricey. Not a choice for the normal users since this printer and Prusa's are so high priced. Maybe a good printer, But at that price too high for most users to afford.

what are you talking about lol it's a traditional bed slinging 3d printer. It's cheaper then the bambu labs X1 and for what you get out of the box (unique form of ABL, camera, built in software, AI that can detect when 99% of your prints fail, all metal hot end, nice touch screen, wireless use, prints as fast as klipper, and more) that is not a bad price at all. Prusa is selling bed slingers for 1000 dollars that dont even have half these features yet I bet you fanboy over them lol. Anker and Bambu Labs are both well worth the asking prices.

@@RuskiVodkaaaa I am with you there. Thats the right think to say for someone who knows the market. The ghosting is bad !! I dont think can play some way thru settings with input shaping but is looking bad,can mess a lot of your prints.Bambu labs has this problem also but they trying and fixing thinks. For many people looks expensive but I ve spend more then that in a popular 3d printer and cant get even near that.

@@RuskiVodkaaaa I have an old AM8 that I built years ago,, has everything this printer has apart from the cam, you could make a cam with and old phone over wifi, and have done in the past. the speed can get pretty close to what this can do. And why waste so much money when you could get one that has a lot bigger build plate. When you see the bullsh1t video they put out, put me off straight away. you want one, go get it. A lot of printer manufacturers are now completing with each other, and at the price of this one, they need to drop the price.
