I love how good you are at explaining!! I have never used Anki but this tutorial really made me want to start. How you speak, just the pace and everything, makes it sooo easy to understand!🤩
okey but i have literally been trying to use anki for a year and this is by far the best video!! Also u explain so well with a very soothing voice, u could be a great teacher in ur field!!
I feel like i manifested this because i just tried downloading anki as a first year and was so confused. Then I was blessed with this video, Love your videos and you are the cutest. ❤
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I was wondering if you could show your settings for each of the cards visuals (black box surrounding question and grey box surrounding answer)?
Hi Sab!! Im on my 3rd year of premed and I’m planning to take a gap year before med school but I’m still really unsure about it. I was hoping you could make a video talking about your med school journey (like how you got into med school, what was your college experience, etc). I find your channel really authentic and inspirational :)) I can tell you work really hard on these vids so thank you!!! 🫶🏼
Thank you for the very nice video. I am a viewer from Japan. I have a question. Your Anki screen is customised, the text is white and the background of the questions is black, It's so cute!! how is it customised? I would like to know if you are using any special add-ons.
Hi! great video couple questions as an incoming med student. 1. when you make the filtered deck......why didn't you unselect "reschedule cards based on my answers in this deck".....asking because I thought if you didn't want your filtered deck answers to effect your Anki algorithm that you would have to unselect this? I thought the purpose was more so just to hammer in that specific info without scheduling the cards to the normal basic algorithm in the event of a test on the horizon ect. 2. Why would you set your max interval to 100 years (36500 days).....I thought for a class like physiology ect you would make the topics have an interval of maybe 21 days? so that you can study and see all the cards more than once in the sundeck prior to the test date 3. Do you use the FSRS new algorithm? if so what changes have you made to your settings P.S.....sorry if im ignorant in my understanding as I want to understand these concepts well before day 1 of lecture lol Thanks!
ngl i already use anki a lot so i just clicked on this because it's you and oh boy I DID NOT REALISE YOU COULD ADD HABITICA INTO IT!!! I also use habitica and have never heard of adding the API to Anki so THANK YOU!!!!
OMGGG THIS IS A SIGN!! Honestly I love all your videos and I downloaded anki and have been figuring it out for a couple days now, and I was hoping you could do a video cause all your videos are SOOO GOOD! I’m soo soo happy to see this video, thank you!!❤️🧿
Hi Sab! new sub here. What an underrated channel! This deserves million of subs! Thank you for making the lives of the many so easy! BTW. I would just like to ask what add on did you use on your "front and back"? Thank you!
I loved your video!!! my problem with Anki is that I only memorize the card and am not really understanding the fact/information. Do you have any tips on that and do you use Anki only for revision or do you also use it for actually learning the material for the first time?😅😊😊
Thank you for this video. It would have been helpful if you included the Addon codes in the description so that people could copy and paste them. Thanks for this simple video on Anki.

Hey Sab, as always amazing video! I was wondering, what’s the add on you use to make the front of the card text appear in these pretty grey big boxes? Couldn’t find it online. Have a great day 🫶🏻
Hey sab! Loved the tutorial honestly But can u tell us how we can get the black background for the front card and white background for the back card!!! I really love your interface!
This is my holy grail when it comes to setting up and using Anki as a first time user! you are doing the Lord's work babes thank you!! ᐢ⑅ᐢ ꒰ ˶• ༝ •˶꒱ ./づ~ ♡
I am finishing up my last year of undergrad then heading over to law school. I'm getting an Ipad air for Christmas and I have been binging your videos. Hope your exams go week as I am also drowning in them! :)
This is by far the best tutorial I've ever watched on Anki. You should be a trainer, teacher or something! English is my 4th language and I'm not having any trouble understanding at all! Kudos! 👏👏👏
does anyone know how to fix this issue I have the image occlusion. Whenever I try hiding the words, when i preview it, the box is shifted so it doesn't hide them completely.
such a slay video thank you! got it working perfectly on my laptop, but I wanted to sync it to my ipad and it's asking me to pay $40 AUD for the mobile app..? is there a way around this? :(
hello! What's the difference between a subdeck and a filtered deck? Couldnt you just press on the Female Physiology subdeck and that would allow you to study it on its own?
hiii! I loved your video, I found it very helpful right now that I’m starting my second year in university studying pharmacy 🥹 I'm trying to learn from my previous errors of last year, and I'm studying these days while using this method of flashcards. Before having my first exam, I hoped if you could answer my biggest doubt at this moment: do you only use this method to study? Is it enough or do you also try at the same time another methods as for example, making resumes or notes…? Bc at the moment I'm only trying to create flashcards for my subjects and Idk if it’s necessary to combine this method with another one… Most of the exams I'll do are test exams so I thought that flashcards might be enough to learn more efficiently. If you could help me to solve my doubts, I would appreciate it very much 🙏🏻 please and thank you!!
I personally recommend doing pre-made cards, especially for something like language learning where there are plenty of established decks to choose from :) Gives you more time to learn and less time spent making the cards yourself
Hi Sab! I just discovered your video and I love it! Question, what settings did you use to customize the view of your flashcards? I love the esthetics of them! ❤
I watch the entire video and learned so much! You are a great teacher!Thank you for taking the time to make this guide. I want to use it for language learning.
Hi Sab! Do you also take notes in class and use that for all your anki cards or do you just listen in class and make anki cards from all the other resources your professors use/give like ppts/textbooks? If you do take notes, I would love to see how you take notes in class and how you use that to make anki cards :) this video is great btw!!! Would appreciate your help!
Thank you for this!! So helpful question tho how do I get my questions to look like that when reviewing? Mine blends with the background and its hard to see
Glad I came across this video. Do you have a good digestive system Anki deck for a nutrition undergrad major? New to Anki and it’s a bit of a little curve.
