I had chills listening to this wonderful rendition of Jeff Buckley's "Forget Her." He would've turned 56 last Nov. 17th. Such a tragedy he died so young. Thanks for keeping his music alive 💝
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Bluesy tones Ann!!!!! This is you all day all night long! Reminds me of “ Sweet darlin” You sound exactly like you did in the 70s! My girl all my life!! No other female singer could carry your purse. 🎶💙🎶😍💪✍️
simply stunning cover .loved heart from the 70s but this is something special from Ann and her band she is still simply one of the best vocalist of all time and she still got it.must have been special to have been there and seen this live
The single most amazing rock vocalist of our times giving the world even more… this is an awesome performance… so grateful for the talented band and the renewed passion. Really nice.
The Queen of Rock takes a good song and makes it live; makes the lyrics hers...and the best part she lets starry eyed fans like me listen to her share her art. This band rocks.
Was so privileged to have been there when she sang this live.... and it brought tears to my eyes.. Such a BEAUTIFUL Rendition....... Always Perfection.......... the Incomparable Ann Fn Wilson!!
Ann give her any cover to sing, thee genius will make her own. This lady at a different level the band are A1.This soulful rock vocal a world apart like no other🎸💕🎸
She is so awesome ✨. Tom is such a fantastic guitar player he's doing other things now. I love how they vibe off each other. I never really got into jeff buckley. But, I'm going to check him out again. I love this song.
Different style..different emotions to the great JB. However Ann pulls it together with her intimate and unique delivery and stage presence egged on by the great band she now calls hers.
For those of you who don't know, film director, Cameron Crowe, is married to Ann's sister, and Heart guitarist, Nancy Wilson. On that note, here is an interesting story: (Cameron Crowe, asked about his inclusion of Led Zeppelin songs in his film, Almost Famous): How’d you secure the rights to the music? "They took us across the street to a wine bar. They said, “Well, ‘Stairway to Heaven,’ we gotta say no to, ’cause it’s just too much. We just don’t do anything with ‘Stairway to Heaven.'” We’re like, “Whomp, whomp, whomp.” And Page goes, “But I would like to give you an extra song that’s more of an acoustic busking vibe. We’ll give that to you free.” He replaced “Stairway to Heaven” with “Bron-Yr-Aur.” He gave that to us for free, just to have that texture in the movie, which was amazing. And we ran through the streets afterward. *The rest of that meeting was spent talking about how much we all loved Jeff Buckley.* Officially the coolest night ever, or the un-coolest night ever. I don’t know. That was a huge kind of buoy to swim to, because without Led Zeppelin, it’s just not the same movie." - Cameron Crowe on the 20th Anniversary of ‘Almost Famous’: ‘It’s Never Been as Popular as It Is Now’ | Rolling Stone article by Angie Martoccio, August 20, 2020: www.rollingstone.com/movies/movie-features/almost-famous-20th-anniversary-cameron-crowe-interview-1041826/?fbclid=IwAR22svd6wbSLUONU6UxB0BKjxictKfcG98OdJm6gtnoXiSq_C1gcKBIu6eo
Lyrics While this town is busy sleeping All the noise has died away He walks the streets to stop his weeping 'Cause she'll never change her ways Don't fool yourself She was heartache from the moment that you met her His heart feels so still As he tries to find the will to forget her somehow Ooh, he thinks he's forgotten her now Her love is a rose, pale and dying Dropping her petals in lands unknown All full of wine, the world before her Was sober with no place to go Don't fool yourself She was heartache from the moment that you met her His heart is frozen still as he tries to find the will To forget her somehow Oh, she's out there, out there right now His tears rolling down as he tries to forget Her love was a joke from the day that they met All of the words, all of her men All of this pain when he thinks back to when Remember her hair as it shone in the Sun The smell of the bed when he knew what she'd done Tells himself over and over he won't ever need her again But don't fool yourself She was heartache from the moment that you met her And his heart is frozen still As he tried to find the will to forget her somehow She's somewhere out there right now Yeah, forget her Try, try to forget her Forget her
