Favolosa interprete, carica di sentimento, una delle migliori interpretazioni che io abbia mai sentito, forse la migliore: pulizia di suono, tecnica superiore, ci si inebria ad ascoltare la magica interpretazione.

Ridiculous, better than Horowitz and Pogorelich. No way. This interpretation misses "schwung" and impetus. And the start is really bad ...

I think this is my favorite performance of this piece! Also, Jacob, what a great sound quality, especially for a live event. There's a stereo pair in front of the piano I can see, but were other mics used as well? It looks like there's one in the piano but I can't be sure.

Dear Nathan, Thank you for you comment. Indeed all I used were 2 MXL 992 mogami microphones in a so called NOS stereo setup. I used to work for the NOS.(Dutch radio and TV) Look on Wikipedia page (nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/NOS_Stereosysteem) It is artificial head. Its recorder on my Mac harddisk and edited in Logic Pro where I cut all audio below 30Hz. to avoid unwanted sounds. I also swap the LR channels to get the lower keyboard notes to the Left and the higher to the right. Sounds more natural to me. I did place as you can see the microphones not to far away. This to avoid(autumn/winter time) unwanted coughs from the public. Thats why I had to add a tiny bit of extra reverb. ( I normally don't do this) The camera's were just 3 very cheap HD ones. I alse did record (video only) the rehearsal to get extra shots to use in the editing. The audio of the camera's were only to have a guide track for the Video editing that was done in Adobe premiere. Its a pity that I have to use the halls lighting that only comes from straight above. Watch the recordings done(not by me) during a daytime concert in the Concertgebouw. ru-vid.comvideos?sort=p&view=0&shelf_id=2 Anna was very lucky to be offered by Kawai germany to use their Shigeru Kawai grand piano. I think that sound great! The Concertgebouw themselves only use/have Steinway. Jacob

She plays with passion, feeling and unlike some other classical pianist, with class.

Whoever says this is better than Horowitz - get a perspective.

I wish she would start again, early over articulation of notes deadened impetus, and she struggles to recover, phased by those reactive flurried upturns that seem to lead nowhere; then she's lost, until, consummate pianist that she is, those wonderful chords flung here and there in crescendo, and diminuendo, save her soul and grace.

questo pianoforte ha troppi medi, il suono un po' asciutto
