I mean yeah she’s an inspiration in that regard but it also helps to be born into wealth and privilege with your father being editor in chief of one of the most widely read newspapers in the UK...
The person who did this documentary chose chose to do in-depth interviews with three people close to Anna Wintour who support her and believe in her and can capably defend her and articulate her greatness. This was a very thoughtful and worthwhile decision and forms the heart of this piece. Sometimes the narration seems to be way off, like talking about her expensive footwear getting through the door...please. So overall this seems to kind of go halfway away from the typical attack on female leaders, but if someone were to go the full way the entire documentary would be about the specific decisions and insights that have made her an influential creative genius and a leader of the field. I have not seen that Anna Wintour documentary yet.
It's crazy how if a woman isn't all "rainbows and sunshine" there's something wrong. She's got a huge responsibility being in charge of Vogue - how is she supposed to behave? She gets the job done and done well!
Having worked on 7th Avenue for 20 years, 80’s & 90’s, Anna Wintours’s ACT was impactful to say the least. She didn’t rest on history, she looked to expand & grow, unusual for a Woman at such intense levels. She empowered Women and gave them Covers of the Magazine that exploded onto the entire American stage. She combined Fashion w/ Hollywood as did Ralph and gave us unforgettable Images, one after another, after another and after another. Visual consistency week after week after week. Her image was Brilliantly orchestrated and calculated. One of a kind. An Icon for many Women.
She obviously is a brilliant thinker with amazing insight into human nature with regards to marketing, etc. However i would rather her be an environmental advocate so she would change our world for the better instead of helping big brands get bigger.
there's been LOTS AND LOTS of corrupted men in every corner of the world, yet when it comes to a powerful woman, all eyes are on her. ENDLESS CYCLE of criticisms are on her. While most controversial men, are only passersby. This proves even more that society is intimidated by powerful women. You can't even deny because this has been going on since the beginning of time and WE HAVE KNOWN THIS FOR SO LONG already.
"Bloomberg Game Changers" beautifully captures Anna Wintour's journey to becoming a fashion icon. Her rise from humble beginnings to the pinnacle of the fashion industry is truly inspiring. Thanks for this insightful portrayal of her remarkable career.
@@MM-qz9bl you can't even dreams what she accomplished. To hate is easy, done! You have accomplished do doing that!!! For what???? WOW!!! The devil in you, that's WHAT!!!!✌️✌️
I'm a manager in my workplace. I don't have to be warm and fuzzy. I want results. I want numbers. I want shit DONE. Now... outside of work...... I am warm and fuzzy 😊❤ Same thing with Anna Wintour. I totally get her.
@@silverdragon710 It's not always money over humanity. Even though people sign a contract to get paid to do their job. There's a balance. Employees get treated with the utmost respect and everyone has fun while getting things done 🙏
I know you respected and rooted me on all the way - Like Putin, I studied you. You saw your earlier self in me. I knew what I was doing all along. Thank you 🙏
While I absolutely agree she’s an icon . Just doesn’t give you the authority to be rude and obnoxious to people . We all strive to be great at what we do. Most of us wish to remain humble and thankful while doing so. Power is a true Doyle edged sword. Like it or not !
I don't personally follow fashion, but I admire Anna Wintour. I learned about her, like many, through 'The Devil Wears Prada,' and I wanted to know who the 'real' Miranda Priestly was. Anna does not strike me as being as whimsically cruel as Miranda. She's demanding and she knows what she wants because she knows what will work, and the artists she's fostered maintain their appreciation, and there are those few that Anna likes and respects - Rihanna is a good example - because they bring value to the table. If she were a man, I don't think her personality would be so scrutinized. It seems like so many people just expect her to be 'warm and fuzzy' because she's a woman.
The first time in even heard about her it was a random comment on a video..."....she's a bitch" ....I thought to myself..shit do you know her little man? ..I looked her up...and I LOVED her!! stupid people. She is a boss woman!
Yes she might be a fashion icon, but look at her she has had the same haircut and glasses for decades. Icon maybe, really follow your own lead and change that 30 or 40 old look!
@@rauldegouveia4152 thank you for replying because I was always interested and now even more, I already watched the First Monday in May, and have seen The September Issue which fascinated me as if you haven't watched it yet you must! but u probably did anyway thank you for letting me go im definitely buying it have a good day-night!
Gabrielle Chanel said that "fashion fades, only style remains the same". That's what she's doing, you gotta have style to be the head of the fashion world.
Fur is cruel and wrong but it’s also very cruel and wrong to just throw a pie at someone’s face…that is no way to change someone into not wearing fur anymore
But print magazines are on their way out... Face it. And she ist part of an industry, that sells underaged girls for materialistic purposes, ignored abusive behavior of photographers for ages, supports low income jobs and so on. An idol? Not for me.
It’s value for money. You’ll be surprised that people actually do love ads and shopping if it’s from the right source. Look at how successful livestreamers are doing in Asia. The top female live-streamer is a billionaire.
I agree. Just because she disliked Trump intensely, she refused to acknowledge Melania at all, no photos, no stories. But Melania did not care, it gave her privacy, IMO.
Integrity! Now AW biggest challenge is cutting down our way of making/spending on fashion while our Mother Earth is bleeding...to reuse materials and saving lifes that earn just a 'dollar a day' and getting our planet sicker and more toxic each day! That is a challenge and it is starting this minute.
As a black woman who has embraced fashion from the sewing machine of my dear mother, Im appalled at the fact that this RU-vid story direspects (Terry Agens) a black woman in fashion by not even giving us the acknowledgement or spelling of her name and title as she's speaking about a woman who can be replaced at any time.
Really ? Omg if i dont get my ass off working tô pay mu bills i wont have some confort in my life ... What tô i have to do with her influence in fashion?
