Found this video because of F&M email. Mathematics really is the basis of all the science including physics, especially the key to understand how the universe works. It would be an honor for me to take mathematics classes with such an inspiring professor. Hats off to you 👏
I found this video because of an F&M email and I am so, so happy I did. As someone passionate about STEM and the arts, I absolutely love seeing formal academic research touch upon the intersection both fields 🥺 it would be such an honor to attend her classes
She almost convinced me to become a math major.😃 Anyways, She is articulate, passionate, and she cares so much about connecting with students. Who would not want to have her as their professor? I really wish I could have the opportunity to take some of her classes in the fall, if things go well of course.
The way she portrays the relationship of math and art is very impressive. The students' transition from drawing stick mans to intricate art works using mathematics is something I haven't seem anywhere else. I find this concept intriguing.
As a prospective economics and mathematics student at Franklin and Marshall '25 under the regular decision admission cycle, I am totally mind blown at the way she beautifies and simplifies mathematics. It's like nothing I've seen before. The thought of having her as a professor makes me so eager and excited, to be honest.

I love how she aims to make identifying and solving any problems as fun as possible, whether it's fighting the climate crisis (her family put only 9 trash cans for the entire year! how amazing is that?) or solving a math problem. I think it's critical that we don't see problems as burdens, but as fascinating challenges. That's how we get better in math. And in life, too ^^
Can't everything be reduced to math? It is the purist science. Is that true? I'm not a math person but I love art, words, and nature. It all works together. I wish I could take some of your classes, but I live in MD.
