I haven't seen Laura Innes since ER. My teenage years were defined by many TV shows especially ER (which will always be superior to Grey's, my opinion!). To see her as an adult reminds me how great she is for TV. Back then, she was Kerry Weaver, the no-nonsense yet kind chief of staff. Now, she's a ruthless, conniving and heinous governor. In both, she's AMAZING!

By the way, we never heard of who actually raised Wes after his mom's death, those people did not even show up when he died.
