Anne Briggs sings the old British folk song "The Snow it Melts the Soonest", ("The Snows they Melt the Soonest"). The song was featured in the 2008 BBC television adaptation of Thomas Hardy's "Tess of the D'Urbervilles", which starred Gemma Arterton as Tess, Eddie Redmayne as Angel and Hans Matheson as Alec.
