Being a true filipina should not be based on her skin color, facial features or her ethnicity but is based on what is in her heart. You may be a Filipino by nationality but being a racist to someone just because she happens to be half aussie-filpino, makes you the worst. Anne is way better than any of you here discriminating her because she is proud to be a Filipino. Shame on those who call themselves true filipino when they are so racist about their own people! And oh, are you even sure that you are all filipino by blood too? try going back and studying your history... maybe you'll discover something.
As a full blooded Filipino I am disgusted by all the hate! True Filipina? What is typical Filipino is to be jealous and spread hate and gossip. Disgrace tlg sa own people ko! You should be ashamed! We come in all skin tones.
There's a difference between true filipina and full filipina. TRUE filipina is when she is proud that she is a filipino she should be working as an australian model/actress if she's not a true filipina that just shows she's proud being a filipino. When it comes to race or whatever it is it's when the full-blooded filipina comes in. It's blood, appearance or whatever you get from being an australian or a filipina. She may not be a full blooded filipina but she's a true filipina at heart.
No doubt only Indigenous people are “pure”. The rest are mixed races but if you are a Filipino - either half, then you are a Filipino. We have this interesting history that made us who we are today. Half or pure, I don’t see any problem with that.

If they want to look for pure pinoy then there’s the Indigenous people which sadly iilan nlng sila. The rest of the Philippines’ population are mixed races.
As what they've said in the video, it was really a challenge for the model, designer, photographer, and even the MU artist. Therefore, it was a big challenge for the whole team. So I congratulate everyone behind this project; all pure Filipino talent! (regardless if they're morena, mestiza, pure or half blooded Pinoy) Stop all the hate people. Just be proud of what you're countrymen can showcase to the world! :)

It is great that our Filipino designers has been recognized in the international scenes. Lalo na nung Cycle 17. Si Michael Cinco,isa sa pinakapopular Filipino designer,ang gumawa ng mga damit para sa Final Runway ng Cycle 17. And it is very gorgeous. Love it.

I like that they have chosen a Philippine designer for one episode, simply showing Filipino designers are already attracting a lot of attention in US fashion industry. Im happy for Anne TOO!!! ^_^ However, as for the pictures, I like the jump shots and the flowing gowns. I am not just sure if Tyra would be flattered with those pictures that made Anne lose her hand. I remember Tyra being specific about not losing an arm, etc. Nonetheless, the gowns are FABULOUS. ^_^
just watched the episode featuring mr. libiran's creations. didn't expect them to be hello kitty (expected the gowns shown in this video to be worn), but it was great! good publicity for him, and a chance for the 'filipino' name to be heard all across the world. ;)

Francis Libiran's gowns were beyond beautiful as well as ms. anne. those wonderful garments made by a very talented filipino and was modelled by a very gorgeous filipina, this is why i am certain that i am proud to be filipino!
Now...going back to the designs...I think the designs are great! We have talented Filipinos and no matter who the model is, we know that Filipino designs have a chance to be out there internationally. We CAN!

actually they were.. i read it somewhere, an interview of francis libiran.. he said he was hard-pressed in making those dresses coz he only had one week to make them.. shows he's really good..
