She look soo beautiful in this white dress.. Her face looks good too !.. She should go on a cover shoot for Vogue magazine.. :) She's beautiful! #Black is beautiful
I love your humor Kansiime but some stuff you say are a put down for Africans. For example, you constantly talk about "blackness" and African hair negatively, KNOWING full well that some of our people are bleaching their skin to look white & suffer from inferiority complex. Then you're talking here about "sponsors," inferring that Africans cannot survive without them. And the clinchers: Now you're denigrating our languages which are absolutely beautiful. The same goes when you start thanking our former colonial oppressors for "bringing us religion." Do you NOT know that Africans ALWAYS had religion and that the difference is the ritual of worshiping??? ALL people on earth believe in a higher power which goes by different names--Ngai (for the Kikuyu & I believe the Masaai), Ani (I believe for the Ibo), etc. etc. But now you're indirectly perpetuating the missionaries' theory that before they brought us their "brand" of religion we were nothing than "kafirs," "pagans," primitive peoples who had no history! Didn't you go to Makerere University? Surely you know better! Don't sell your soul or people out for money. I absolutely adore you & watch many of your RU-vid shows. BUT for the first time I couldn't even go beyond half an hour watching this Canadian performance. I found myself grimacing & cringing at some of what you had to say. I think deep inside you don't think you're beautiful & I don't understand why. I swear to God you're very pretty, cute as a button, with beautiful dark skin. And I'm not just saying this. It's the truth. Add this to you're great comedic talent & you become beyond beautiful. :) I'd love to continue watching you & hope you'll take what I've said as advice from someone who cares because, by the way, you could be MY daughter. Yes, I'm old enough to be your mother. Hence, all that's said here comes from a place of pure love. Please read & re-read my post & think what I've said. You have power to influence a lot of people. So, it's extremely important that you become the proper model for women & especially young people. Asante for taking the time to "listen."
Wai Mbuthia you should take this as comedy and relax. She’s a comedian and anything that makes people laugh is what she will present to people. I think she’s realistic and in most cases this will hurt people who don’t get her sense of humor. I’m not saying you don’t get her sense of humor, I’m just saying in general. If you are old enough to be her mother then you are old enough to be mine. Thank you mother for speaking out when you feel something isn’t right in honor of our history or cultures as Africans. Stay blessed.
Wai Mbuthia, she is a comedian. A comedian is a smart person who makes you think about serious issues in a relaxing way. Most of time raising awareness about an issue. Take it easy and enjoy the comedy.
