Hello friends & kindred spirits alike!
Spring has finally sprung in our little corner of the world and with it, I feel renewed and oh-so-hopeful. I felt there was no better way to welcome the sunshine and flowers than to see it through the eyes of Anne Shirley-Cuthbert! As such, I decided to spend the day with Anne, adopting her way of romanticizing life and embracing the beauty of each season.
I'd say my favorite quote from this book is:
“It's been my experience that you can nearly always enjoy things if you make up your mind firmly that you will.” - L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables
This is the mindset I hope to have going into Spring, Summer, and all the seasons after.

I highly, highly, highly recommend continuing on with the series if you haven't read them, particularly the next two - Anne of Avonlea and Anne of the Island. Anne of the Island is my personal favorite and I love it even more than the first! I also really recommend the last book Rilla of Ingleside as well! I feel like the rest of the series gets forgotten in the love for the first book (which is absolutely amazing) but the rest of them are so good too and I'm always recommending people try them if they loved the first. Also, all of the books are amazing as audiobooks!

My best friend and I were 'Anne and Diana' when we were children. There's not a day where I am not grateful for having watched and read Anne of Green Gables as a child and fallen in love with it. And then finding a Kindred Spirit best friend who loved it just as much as I. It made for a deliciously magical childhood

I brought home from my garden 🪴 some lovely apple tree branches just about to spring forth with buds !! Beautiful I put them in a lovely vase .. I put my glasses 🤓 on and had another look at the beautiful branches bringing spring into my home 🏡 ( can you tell I’m getting into Anne mode ? ) 😆only to see the twigs were covered in 🐛 bugs … and not the prettiest ones either 🤣🤣🤪🐛🪳🐞! First of all, I love the vintage style dress you were wearing to bake. So cute! 😍I actually have never read Anne of Green Gables, but I loved Heidi as a child and the way everyone, including my best friend, talks about Anne makes me think of how I felt reading Heidi back then. I'm due for a reread of that book, and maybe I'll check out Anne as well if I can get my hands on it. Also, I loved the three Morgans, your editing skills are above and beyond!

Watching this reminds me of the time when I was a teen that I made a pudding from my Anne of Green Gables cookbook. I put tablespoons of vanilla extract rather than teaspoons. Lol. It was such a funny Anne like mistake to make.

I loved Anne of Green Gables, Little Women and the Secret Garden was my favorite as a child. ❤️ Such cherished stories between my mom and I. I'm preparing reading both for spring as well 💐. I love how you make everything magical and beautiful. I can feel the you taking yourself in every moment and enjoying it. I love that.
