I think the real Anne Boleyn would’ve been flattered to know she would be portrayed with such grace and dignity by Bujold, herself a true French beauty.

There's one thing untrue you've written in thst 1 sentence. She's Canadian. Are you a Quebecois? Anne Boleyn was a scheming minx who plated a very dangerous game of manipulation and paid a dreadful price for it.

So true , Natalie Dormer played Anne Boleyn very very well, this is the reason why i don't watch other movies about her or the tudors, because i can't imagine another actress in Anne Boleyn role

Despite the French accent (which I am sure she didn't have) Ms Bujold is still my favourite screen Anne Boleyn, although the 2 Natalies were very good and Jodhi May was equally compelling.

The real Anne was brought up in the French court so it is not unlikely that she did have a soft French accent .

That also explains why the girls lived and the boys, other than Edward, who held on until twelve years, died at birth. The female embryo is stronger, which is why he had two living girls and dead sons.

It totally destroyed England and the system of monasteries that fed, clothed and educated the poor. Went from merry old England to the grinding poverty of the industrial revolution and poor houses.
